I don't know if anyone put the injured players back on the MLB level in any of the sets. Most guys who are updating these sets usually update everything....trades/injuries etc.

Knight, great job on all of your rosters. On this set you are working on, I'm assuming that all injured players would be put back and off of the IR, correct? I'm asking because I believe most of us who are anxiously waiting, would like to have the injured players available to play a brand new season. Just a thought. Thanks for your time and all your hard work.

With Cip and McC....it was just a numbers thing.....the 6 catchers on T.B....5 are SCEA players...and Lobaton(my created guy)....is on the 40 man.
There are also quite a few SCEA OF'ers...I could get Fronk in or Cobb...but Fronk must have played more AAA or AA games(that's a deciding factor.)

Mendoza?...Sure I can put him in the FA pool for you.

Awesome thanks a lot Knight. How many extra players are you going to have? I ask because like with Mendoza I like to include other veteran Free Agents/Retirees in my FA Pool (Guys Like Mike Stanton, Joe McEwing, Roger Clemens, Robin Ventura, Bernie Williams, Steve Karsay, Carl Everett, Reggie Sanders, Barry Bonds, Ruben Sierra, Vinny Castilla, Todd Zeile, etc just to name a few that I put into the last set). Are there going to be enough to where I can add some more of these guys? This seems to be much much different than your Opening Day set so I don't really know. Also, random but are there going to be 2 Travis Sniders in this set as well or did SCEA upgrade his potential? What about guys who were DFA'd during the season but went unclaimed and refused a MiLB assignment and became Free Agents, are these guys going to be in the set?

Koby Clemens (3B/C) had a breakout season in the Astros organization, did you include him?

Sorry if it seems like I'm putting pressure on you, I'm just very curious. If you can't do a lot of these things it's more than alright, as an avid roster-maker for years when i had more time I'm more than capable of doing edits myself. I just want to see what you have in mind for the set.

Also I know throughout the course of a lot of SCEA updates a lot of free agents and such were removed from the game, and considering you're using a recent update as your base are there a lot less guys than in the original base? For instance Keith Foulke, El Duque, etc.?

There are probably 30-40 guys on the FA list you can edit pre-franchise. Plenty. Mostly C rated pitchers and position players.(perfect for what you want)
They upgraded Snider to a B
Foulke and Duque are not there.
Clemens will be in....I just want to consult ksig on his potential rating(unless he's already on his honeymoon! )

Re: Knights End of Season Set

Wow why so many editable FA's? That's odd. Are they just generic players or actual Free Agents? Are all of the un-editable SCEA dev players still in the set, or were they replaced by the editable FA's you speak of?

(FWIW I would say Clemens' potential is about a C, a B tops, which would even be pushing it IMO. But then again I'm not an avid follower of the Astros system.)

Yes....all but one Dev is gone. That's why so many editable guys.
All the ones on the FA list are fake.(minus a couple...Sheets....Grudz...one or two more)
I would say Clemens is a C also(from earlier reference)...but what a season! I'm wondering if anything has changed in the scouts eyes.
I'm going with C unless I hear otherwise.

                      Roster control......it's pretty simple.

Chapman would be interesting....I guess he would need to be a FA. I believe mostly a FB and Slider...FB topping out around 100. He also has a very good pickoff move...caught a few Japanese players in the WBC.

He's raw and not overly collected on the mount when things aren't going well...bit of a hot head.

                          Knight,

I just was looking over the Braves AAA & AA statististics and was wondering a few things. Can you get Mariano Gomez on the Braves, if you haven't already? He's a LH Relief Pitcher that was 8-4 with a 1.99 ERA at AAA Gwinnett this season. Also, I was wondering if SP Jonny Venters, SP Brett Butts, SP Ryne Reynoso, SP Kyle Cofield, SP Scott Diamond, CF Matt Young, RF Concepcion Rodriguez, and LF Willie Cabrera are going to make it on there? Venters pitched mostly in AAA this season but the other guys spent most/all of the season in AA. I know that it's impossible to get everyone on there and there are several prospects on the list I posted earlier, but I was just wondering. I noticed that a few of these weren't on the list but put up some decent numbers. Thanks.

hey Knight, sorry to bother again but if you're going to put Chapman into the set (which would be amazing, btw) do you think you would be able to put a Yu Darvish into the FA pool as well? If not I can do it myself, but I have a feeling your version would probably be a lot better than mine.

                            I can't wait...

Yeah i've actually read that some scouts are higher on Darvish then Chapman...although last I heard he did not want to come to the USA

                                crques;

All of the guys in your first post made it in(either on the Braves or on their new teams)
Some of the guys in this last post made it in....and the Braves are done. I might be able to make a couple of changes.
There were a lot of pitchers already on the Braves and their prospects are pitching heavy also...I think Gomez and Diamond made it in.
I'm pretty sure all three of those OF'ers are in.

                                ....
                                ...

As for Chapman and Darvish...I was planning on Darvish already. Perhaps Champman.....but let me get the teams in order first!

                                jgobler..
If you are using an updated set(Wake's-DodgerFanatic's) of the Full Minors.....then all of the guys for every team who is injured and on the DL, will be on a AAA or AA team. I don't think anyone updated a set with trades but left everyone on the MLB team.
You'd have to make all those moves before you started a franchise.
