    Knight,
Seeing as how you're the guru in all of this... any suggestions in us using RosterTools for attribute edits on these rosters?

I'll probably get started on this tonight. I'll take the NL if you wanna take the AL?

I still have two sets of Classic rosters to finish.
I wish I had the time...but right now I'm swamped.
    Sorry.

    Have you tried the tool?
It's pretty much plugging in a name and getting the results. It uses baseballreference.com as it's database.

Setting up a bootcamp partition would help that out. I currently have one so that I can work on my site and watch PPVs.

Did the NL east tonight. Try and get the central done tomorrow.

RosterTools uses pitchf/x data for pitch types, break and mph... anyone know how well this data transfers to actual game play? I know someone spent a lot of time on these pitch edits, so I'm not touching them right now.

They've got people like Mike Gonzalez having 4 pitches, including a 12-6 curveball. No change up. Which is a big different from what's there now...

how much of a difference are you seeing? how much are you changing the batting attributes...are you focusing on power/contact/discipline/clutch?

RAZR did all the research for the pitch edits , all i did is merely copy 75% of them over to the end of season set from the opening day set, 25% i did myself from that website and using scea's ratings for the other pitches as a base...stamina was half copying/half actual research...tried to keep it to a 3 year performance average for some...

not sure what is the truth with gonzalez, maybe somebody related to the work on the opening day set can log in and chime in...

                  Only editing contact/power/vision/disc/clutch

I'm gonna do some fielding research later, using some different sites, but won't be messing with that now.

There have been a good bit of changes actually. Only team I can really speak on for accuracy is the Braves because I watched them all year, and the ratings I'm putting in seem pretty accurate. Infante had a big boost, Prado as well. Diaz splits were fixed. Chipper was lowered, Jair was boosted. I'm doing some simming now, checking out the NL east stats.

as far as the pitching, I didn't do anything with stamina. Leaving the types alone for the most part, adding some, changing some here and there, but not much, and most of that was with the Braves because I know what they do/don't throw.

                    The tool works very nicely.
The thing with the pitches could be that Razr went to great lengths to track the breaks and such and compare them with what the game pitches actually do. That's why you'll see more 2 seamers and sinkers. In The Show...the 4 Seamer is straight....arrow straight as you guys know and most pitchers have some movement.
That's what I'm thinking on that.

Good job guys....and thanks for all the extra effort!

                              http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-thread-2.html

read this thread yyhy...what site are you using for you pitch changes?

there is a lot of debate, and razr & co. put a lot of effort making sure all of the pitchers were correct. Mike Gonzalez may be able to throw all of those pitches, but we tracked over his career the amount of times he would throw a certain pitch & went from there in assigning players.

I'd honestly appreciate if you left editing those for all of the teams...is that cool? you could do this to your personal set but I like things the way they are atm. I hope you aren't taking offense man, I think we can do something really cool w/ the program in making these rosters so much better...

No that's cool. I only changed a few things to the Braves pitchers pitch types. Didn't even bother with other teams because I didn't know enough information to make decisions on them, despite what the RosterTools said.

So other than Atlanta, the only thing I've touched are attributes.

Got the central done tonight. Should be done with the NL by Sunday at the latest.
