You need the patch for this set TC.
The base for this roster is the 9/8 update. I couldn't use a default roster from my unpatched machine(not enough A-B prospects)
If you try and load the set into a machine that's not patched you will get the error.

I wish I had time to do all the "little things" in the set before release such as numbers, stance changes and equipment changes...but that would have added a pretty good amount of time to the release.
I figure that most guys who are nuts about that stuff can change it.
I do want to get to an update for that and pitching updates(seperate) eventually.

I'm laughing about Johnson winning the Cy Young. I actually had him in AAA and at the last second moved him back to the MLB. I thought about "hindering" a few players, but I really wanted to leave the SCEA players alone.
Posey should rock AAA!

I'm "somewhere else" right now...but have my laptop and PS3, so I can do some fixes if you guys post them.

just a few changes i made for the giants:

cain's k/9 down to 70, bb/9 up to 57
zito's k/9 up to 67, bb/9 up to 50, 4sm fb velocity up to 38, 4sm fb control up to 51, slider speed up to 30
bumgarner's fb velocity down to 62
schierholtz's speed way up to 73, arm strength to 77, arm accuracy to 77, fld ability to 75
rowand's speed down to 71

Knight, I noticed you had a created Chris Perez on the Cardinals. Is that the same Chris Perez who was traded to the Indians in the DeRosa deal, because their information is very similar?

It is in fact the same guy. Understandable though because for some reason he is still listed on the Memphis Redbirds roster from when he was down there in April. Just a heads-up.

But he was pitching late sept as relief pitcher for indians at boston.

I know, that's why I was confused when i saw him on the Cards. His SCEA player is on the Indians in the set but Knight accidentally created him again and put him on the Cardinals.

If you sim the rest of the season, will the players be at the right age starting offseason? I believe something was said about the ages being a little tweaked, so I'm just asking for some clarification. Thanks.

Actually someone pointed this out to me when I gave them an early look to check things out...and I forgot to change him(I didn't change his name to initials, which is my indicator that a guy is done or needs to be worked on).

The players are their current ages....but as someone pointed out....they should actually be one year younger(since this is starting at ST of '09)
You guys should be able to change that...it's only 1200 players:wink:
