argh...i wish i knew...does the tools go 07-09 or does it do just 09? I'm not sure man haven't been able to look at the program at all...

as far as durability ratings go i usually went with this formula...

lowering everybody in general that needs it (batters get too many ab's during the year, bench players not enough)

I'm going off of what scea has for each player, and lowering it depending on how serious the injury in 09 was and their timetable or how injury prone the player is through-out their career...sometimes scea has it right so i won't even have to touch the player...as the case with the brewers with capuano i might be lowering his dramatically as he cannot get on the playing field and healthy. I'm not doing anything drastic in general, just slight changes...i'm going to play around and sim seasons a little bit when done...I'm going to check who is starting at DH for each AL team as well and make sure to check their durability as well...i have heard their stamina lowers faster than regular position players..

For the batting edits that yyhy was doing, was he basing it off of career numbers, weighted numbers or just this year? I'm willing to edit the batting attributes since I'm getting a snow storm tomorrow I'll have a lot of free time.

He was using Bahnzo's database which did all the calculations for you. There is a thread for it in the Rosters forum. I downloaded it (you also need to download an MS Office attachment which is also on the 1st post in that thread in order to view it) the other day, great stuff!

No i know all that, there are 3 batting edit options in the batting tools, weighted, career and current year. I was wondering which of those 3 options he was using because I'm willing to do them since I won't be going anywhere tomorrow with the snow I'm getting.

Well....I think weighted would bring you SCEA's ratings.(I haven't tried)...because that is their system.
I think YY was working on this current year.

Maybe Im just confused with what weighted means. I was looking at the current year only and changing the year (first 2009, then 08, then07) and taking a manual average of those three ratings. Gonna be time consuming that way, yes. But if that was the best way of doing it that was the way I was thinking LOL. Pimpin whatever way you think is best dude if you wanna go ahead tommorrow, if you wanna break it up Ill be glad to give you a hand if you wish. Let me know

weighted is when you take 50% from this year and 25% from the past 2 years each to come up with a rating

Funny....because my PC just died also.
Looks like my hard drive is fried.
I'm praying that I can retrieve files from there as I don't have other backups.

I'm trying to have my laptop hook up to my regular desktop monitor right now. I'm having some trouble with that also.

I just finished the NL West and I'm not a big fan on how the weighted attributes came out. So I'm just gonna say heck with it and run with the latest End of Year set and not worry about batting edits because from looking over them just now they don't look bad at all. Good enough to start one final franchise with.

why didn't you like them? you should've gone with the 07-09 stats not weighted...

Using 07-09 . . . isn't that weighted stats? It's using 3 years regardless. Specify how I'm to do it with 07-09 because I honestly thought that's what weighted was.

weighted some weird thing they have with roster tools which is apparently what scea goes off (which people know sims out wrong)

i really wish we weren't worrying about but apparently some a**holes don't follow through on their work, and then ignore the people that did & were hoping they could help out...you know who you are...
