Knight, both your current and minors roster sets have all-time great in the free agent list. So does the online roster set. Do these guys get signed when you play a season or do you have to turn on roster moves to prevent this?

I'm just confused. I tried to go in and do some roster moves (at least the big Tiger trade and there is a guy doing these in the vault but his rosters are beyond awful) and the roster interface is bad. So many menus and it's not intuitive. I've got to hit the r-stick to move between AAA and MLB and there was nothing even in the menu to tell me that. It doesn't appear as though I can edit players in the FA list either. Any tips on this stuff or is it really this cumbersome?

His name has come up a few times within the last few days and SF's stance on him tells me that they think as high of him now as they did when they drafted him in his respective position. Also, Ethan Martin RHP LAD minor league has a very good bat and his attributes do not reflect this. He was a HR derby winner at Aflac in SD. I witnessed his raw power and bat and the only reason he signed as a pitcher was because he can dial it up to 95 with ease. Many teams saw him as a C or 3B.

David Nick and Matt Davidson need to be added to ARI as they are top prospects and fit nicely in there with Borchering.

Nolan Arenado - SS/C COL needs to be added. I know we discussed this before, but I think you were running out of spots.

Thats all I can think of right at the moment, but I wanted to let you know. Its a cold day here in Indy and I cant wait to get back to Cali!

              Any word on the event?

As for the last one... Fowler was already created by SCEA with a 'C' potential I believe. And you can't change potential with SCEA-created players so Knight rightfully re-made Fowler and gave him the correct potential rating.

                Thanks Matt.

There has been a ton of talk here this week and I got some good prospect info for all.

The Legends in the FA list will turn into random editable players once you start a franchise, so no need to worry about HOFers.

As for the rosters, they do take some getting used to, but you've got it about right. You have to move a FA to a team if you wish to edit his attributes.

                    Thanks.

Are these rosters the same as Knight's minor league rosters but just updated? Any reason not to use Knight's latest version then? I did try the guy that keeps putting out "updated" rosters based on the moves but they were HORRIBLE. Why even bother if the rosters are going to look that bad (just basing this off the Tigers).

Re: Knights End of Season Set

Jays done last night. Might at least get the Rays in before I get out tonight.

Now just from the sample of 3 teams fully done, there will be some modifications (ie. the Victor Martinez example from not too many posts before) in the end deal if something doesnt look right. I might disregard the injury year and base a rating off a two year sample. Or in the case of someone like Aaron Hill who "broke out" this year (abberation? Who knows.) I might stick with the 3 year averages and take a few (and I mean a few no more than 5) points from a rating. I hope Knight (if he chooses), TD and/or Pimpin will be able to take a look and modify or suggest when I finish the AL. Keep you updated when I get through the next team tonight.

awesome work ja, i look forward to taking a look at what you've done with the attributes to make this game extra awesome when you are finished with the AL...I agree with some of things you said, maybe bumping up Aaron Hill and etc at your discrestion...are you doing everything on a spreadsheet and then inputting them? i'd say not to worry with stuff that will cost time...keepup the good work homie! thanks again

                            TD,
just paper for now. I can justify sitting infront of the laptop for more time than sitting in front of the PS3 to the misses LOL. So everything is on a spreadsheet which will make it super easy just to input all the players in one shot when the AL is ready. Gonna go do some shopping then later on get a team or 2 in.

Im not sure if Knight posted the original EOS on Sendspace. I know TD didnt with the stamina edits.

UPDATE: AL East is done. I will have no distractions and plenty of time to do the whole Central this afternoon. I hope to be done with the AL by Tues - Wed.

TD: Just so you know, guys with not enough data (Matt Wieters, Brett Gardner, players with limited AB's over the past 3 years etc) I think I might just leave be being that their data is extremely skewed or Ill just use the 09 ratings.
