Re: MLB '10: The Show Rosters: OS Full Minors V.1

Thank you to everyone who has worked on this roster set. It's greatly appreciated. Knight, I'll be praying for you and your family.

Many of the top minor league players were given very low ratings. Was this intentional? It seems like the majority of the minor league players (not just the top prospects) were assigned random attributes. I mean no offense, I'm just stating my opinion. I thought I had the wrong file at first, but I made sure that I downloaded the file that had a 98% rating.

Doolittle is no longer considered a top prospect, so his ratings are going to be really low, especially when compared to the other top prospects. I agree with you, a knee injury forced him out for most of the '09 season. He shouldn't be forgotten about (by scouting services) for that reason. For anyone who has watched him play, it is clear to see that he has the skill set to be a very solid major league player.

A note on Darwin Barney (Cubs): his defense (glove/fielding ability/throwing ability) is easily one of the best in all of baseball (including the major leagues) at any position. In the interest of full disclosure, this has no nothing to do with me being an Oregon State baseball fan or with me being from Illinois. I'm speaking from a scouting perspective.

Re: MLB '10: The Show Rosters: OS Full Minors V.1

these are 1000x better than the SCEA ones, but it does seem to me that maybe the potentials being screwed up this year did hurt the quality of the rosters. it seems like there are so many D and F potential guys on teams, and IMO D and F potential players don't exist in real life. nobody drafts or signs a guy that they project to be a D or F level player. no matter how good they are ratings wise, if you are a D or F, you can never be better than that, D or F. i know the potentials can change, but how much will that really happen? and even if they do, what are we looking at, a guy thats C pot, MAYBE, which still will only maybe barely make the majors. if a guy were a C to begin with, which would be the case with most low end prospects(IRL), then you have a guy who is projected to maybe make the majors, be avg. at best, but could breakout have his potential increase to B or Maybe even A, but on the flip side could go down to D and never make it. I think that that describes the worst prospects IRL minor league systems. otherwise, again, they wouldn't be in the system if they were basically doomed to fail like D and F pot. guys are in the show.

last year, these D and F guys were RARE in the full minors roster. i mean there'd be a couple on each team, but not a ton...and there were really no F potential guys on a team's roster. this year it seems like everybody's potential is basically one notch below what it should be. again, not trying to diss anyone, love the rosters with what they gave you this year(pot. glitch) and great job, but just my two cents

ok idk if this has been mentioned (I did a thread search and got no matches), but Shawn Riggans is now in the Mets system. The set has him on the Rays AAA roster.

Also, is there a Paul Lo Duca or Mike Rivera in the set?

                Re: OS FULL MINORS V.1

Getting back from a long, cold game tonight and seeing these rosters was sweet =)

anyways some observation on the white sox in addition to what people have already mentioned:

                1) The Major League OF should be as follows for now : LF Pierre CF Rios, RF Quentin , you have pierre playing center, quentin playing left and rios playing RF right now.

                2) Pitching rotation should have Buehrle as #1 and Peavy as #2

                3) SP Daniel Hudson should play for AAA Charlotte, i think you have in him single A (maybe replace daniel cabrera (who was released per this thread) with him? http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=369695&src=162

                Thanks for the sweet rosters!!!

                      ***MY UPDATE***
to be honest, i dont know if/what Razr is doing for these, I should contact him. As of the last day or so, I have been under the impression that I have the rosters as of right now to change stances/motions. Ive done all the AL teams jersey # changes already. I will or have someone else do NL as well. When I am done with the stances, I will pass the file to MK and/or to either release (after cleaning up the few things that have been here in this thread) or he will wait for the pitch edits to be added to release. My guess is they will release after I send it back to them and after cleaning up a few things here and there. It is also my understanding, that for the people saying that this guy is no longer w/ this organization, MK and Ridin had to fill out rosters so to speak w/ "real" players vs. Devs. So I think they put a guy like Joe Crede in the minors for the White Sox instead of joe shmo Dev. if it bothers you that much, just release them yourselves. Guys who are REALLY on the wrong teams will of course be corrected and those are the types of things we need to see in this thread. I am currently NOT doing equipment edits, JUST stances/motions. If someone wants to start doing a Word file for the equipment edits or take the file when I'm done with it so they can add those before we release it, that would be greatly appreciated. I think the pitch edits are coming last because they also take a long time. Its a lot of research and trial and error for the pitch breaks etc. My stances/motions take a LONG time as well, but luckily I saved my Word file from last year and it is speeding up the process as well as me taking some tips from the Stance Thread. Anyways, I am going to work on these for a lil bit longer tonight before going to sleep and try to get my stances/motions done by the end of the weekend. Some guys here and there might need to be added later (in my IN SEASON thread) because they haven't played yet therefore video of them might be scarce, but they will be done roughly 95%.

Hope this clears anything up and if anyone wants to chime in, go for it

That'll be changed when v2 comes around. As I mentioned above (man I get tired of typing those words) the suggestions from this thread will be taken into account before the next release

Chad Huffman formerly of the Padres has been claimed by the Yankees opening up a new player to be added to the Padres. Not sure how you will do it, just take a guy of the Yankees and put him on the Padres and turn him into someone else? Anyways, i put up potential players in an earlier post of mine in this thread, hope to see a couple in now with Chad and Putnam gone.
