I am saying that I played quite a few minor league games with top prospects with good power, yet the best hit I have gotten is a triple in the gap that bounced off the base of the wall with Josh Bell. I have good timing and generally good contact because of where I place the bat in the zone in relation to where I make contact on the bat. It has zero to do with sliders.
I'm fillin you. I was curious how aaa played so I just played 2 games the best hits I got or gave up in both were doubles. I had 3 doubles first game and 2 second game rest of hits were singles cpu only had couple of doubles and singles too. I had seveal meat pitches that I made good timing on and I just smashed them back to warning track. I am hitting a few more hrs in mlb games but not a ton but none so far in minors games. seems like with lower ratings its harder to do anything with. but i've just played 2 games with aaa teams so far and I only have 18 hrs in a total of 650 abs says my profile. I need practice. I play with contact 4 timing 4 solid hits 3 power 5 on all star. To me it seems like hrs are less frequent this year by me and cpu. I have cpu power on 6 and solid hits on 5

I was at Clancy's Friday and Saturday, but I usually go once or twice a month. My brother's more of a regular there. He played on the Clancy's co-ed softball team.

Doesn't really make sense the vault can have multiple rosters with the same name, but I guess it is possible. I can't tell just by looking which ones are right.

Ditto on this, is there a marker or some specific player or attribute we can look for to know we got the right roster?

I used your rosters last year for MLB 09 and if I remember correctly, you had several different variations.
                • V1 - Lineup fix/full minors/Razrs pitch edits
                • V2 - Lineup fix/full minors/Razrs pitch edits (Update to V1)
                • V3 - Stock SCEA players/full minors/Razr's pitch edits
                • V4 - Stock SCEA players/full minors/Razr's pitch edits/Strut's stances
                • V5 - Lineup fix/full minors/Razr's pitch edits/Strut's stances
                • V6-Stock SCEA players (players and pitchers)/full minors/Strut's stances and motions update
I ended up using V5 and they were great. If I wanted a similar set for MLB 10, is V2 the one I should use?

                Thanks.
Just looking for confirmation that V2 will be essentially the same as V5 last year. In other words, it will have the correct lineups for both the majoe and minor league clubs as well as all the faces, stances, pitch edits, etc.

Or will there be further updates coming (i.e. V3, etc)?

Re: MLB '10: The Show Rosters: OS Full Minors V.1

I know it's gonna sound like defending...but I disagree with you guys on the power ratings.....maybe...MAYBE a slight bump...but

                  1. You absolutely cannot look at the ratings in terms of scouting. It just does not translate into the game well....AT ALL.
....-because of age and growth....start an 18/19 even 20 y.o. guy out too high to start......especially with an A or B rating....and he gets the call up way too quickly when team make moves either due to trades/off season/injuries.
.....-I try my best to take into account proximity to the MLB call up(which admittedly I haven't really tweaked for yet in teams other than the NL East)

                  2. You guys got me intrigued...so I took the Binghamton Mets against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats....Brad Holt vs. Kyle Drabek.....Legend pitching/H.O.F. hitting....default contact/power...solid hits +1(that's my only change in sliders)....at Sportsmans Park.
...-in the game I hit a homerun(CRUSHED IT) with Reese Havens(33/27-49/40 contact/power)...and two doubles...one with Jefry Marte(27/31-31/35) and Wilmer Flores(36/39-25-29)(no cheapies either...the doubles were a solid gap shot...the Marte one hit off the RF wall)
....-and the Fisher Cats did the same(actually a triple...but it was the first hit of the game..and I had the markers off...so I had no idea where it was going...but it hit off the wall also)...a homer by Adam Loewen(32/35-33/30)...and doubles(this was the "triple") by Jake Marisnick(31/33-28/39) and C.J. Ebarb(28/25-22-27)...
...another thing to keep in mind...I SUCK at hitting .....
                  so...

It's a balancing act a little with this game.
                  Just my thoughts on it.

Is there a thread that has the list of changes that will be made in V2?

Yeah, to be honest i mean i have never seen ,documented ,anybody do a whole season minor league only and have stats. Who knows maybe the game takes into account these things when you playing minor league games. While Mike Stanton might have the same power ability as say Mark Teixera you cant give him the same power rating otherwise he his hitting 30 homers his rookie year. A matter of fact the game might take that into account because i have played major league clubs versus their minor league affiliates and the stats are never lopsided.

Funny that you mention that. I have played for Clancy's wednesday night mens league for the past few seasons. In fact when I joined the team we won back to back championships over the Brewmasters. Free pitchers after the games! Who is your brother? You can PM me if you dont want it out in the open.
