Look, there's so much mis-information here.

The lineups for the beginning of the regular season will not stick if you set them before the end of spring training. You must end spring training, then....

Lineups need to be set before you play your first season game for all teams. They will STICK if you have lineups set to manual, except for rest days. That's how it works.

If you put other teams lineups on AUTO it is going to AUTO FIX lineups the first time that other team makes a player movement. If you leave all teams to MANUAL it will NOT change the lineups except for rest.

Seca need to provide a fix for this, I posted on another thread I was having trouble with this using the 1988 classic set, I spent hours trying to fix it, probably at least 8 or 9 and the is exactly why Seca needs to fix it, why should I have to spend that kind of time fixing roster lineups

oh and I sim a few games and they all went back and I thought I had a save from befeore the first game but somehow it got lost

Also where are knights rosters are they in the roster vault

but do you have to have control of all teams to do this? I just want to control my team and want the cpu lineups to be somewhat realistic.

I'm not gonna lie, this is incredibly confusing and pretty frustrating. The Show had this problem last year also.

I would say you should save your rosters after you fix them a few times, as I stated earlier I thought I did that but lost them some how, and the computer ended up switching the lineups a few games in (this was with the 1988 classic set)

So he does, im going to give it a go, because ive just manually adjusted 20 of the 30 teams before ending ST and if what Jim says is right, ive wasted my time.

Lets hope this guy on that forum has sorted, although how im not quite sure.

not sure how updated his rosters are; the white sox roster doesnt have lucy as a catcher and knights does; hmm

UPDATE - his real roster is in all caps and looks legit

For some reason, this process of the CPU trimming the MLB rosters down from 40 to 25 is causing all the lineups to be reordered, even if Manual Lineup Control is ON. Doesn't matter if you are controlling 1 team or 30, any Manually Controlled Lineup will still be reordered.

There are two fixes to choose from, both of which require 30-team control and are quite tedious:

Before advancing the the Regular Season, go through each team and set their MLB 25-man roster manually. Only 25 players can be at the MLB Level; everyone else needs to be sent to either AAA, AA, or A. You can still have 40 guys on the "40-man roster" (the "40-man" column that has "yes" or "no" next to each player), but you can only have 25 at the MLB Level.Y OR
Advance to the Regular Season and allow the CPU to set the MLB 25-man rosters automatically. Before playing any games, go in and adjust each lineup manually.

So for these fixes, you have to pick your poison:

For option 1, you have to trim down every MLB roster to 25, but the lineups will remain in the correct order when you advance to the Regular Season.

For option 2, you don't need to worry about the 25-man roster, but you have to fix all 4 lineups for every team (which also requires fixing some players playing in the wrong position, btw).

I personally prefer option 1.

Thank you for bringing some order to this chaos. It is totally incredible to me that we have to do this. My first time with this game, even bought a PS3 just for the show, as all I have heard is how fantastic it is, and now this, among the other things. only to find out it seems more screwed than MLB2K ever was. I just don't know if I can deal with this.

I tried the LetsGoMets guy's rosters and they are legit. The lineups/rotations make sense after Spring Training.

Sort by date. It's not going to be the first LetsGoMets file you see. Go to the next page. You will see LETSGOMETS89 V1 in all CAPS.
