Unfortunatley not.... cpu automatically changes everything once you end Spring. Easiest way (I did it last night) was to go in and manually change all the teams lineups (must use the 30 man roster control). Took me under 1.5 hours but worth the effort. Now i have all correct lineups for all teams and even with manual lineups, the cpu will make minor changes when it comes times to rest guys.

I think I will just wait also I have so many sounds that I want to add and since they are tied into the rosters I will wait until the final or a more final roster set is outComment

My approach will be to start with all the teams in the NL Central, since that is who I'll see the most. I'll branch out from there, probably going in order by which teams I'll be playing in the schedule.
This way I can not tie up too much time fixing rosters, while at the same time still getting in a game or two in between roster corrections.
I played game 1 vs. the Giants last night, and their lineup wasn't bad at all. Pretty realistic IMO.Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Yeah, it can be pretty confusing, but it's basically this:
- During Spring Training, there are 40 guys at the MLB Level
- Once you advance to the Regular Season, the CPU automatically trims down these rosters to 25
- For some reason, this process of the CPU trimming the MLB rosters down from 40 to 25 is causing all the lineups to be reordered, even if Manual Lineup Control is ON. Doesn't matter if you are controlling 1 team or 30, any Manually Controlled Lineup will still be reordered.
There are two fixes to choose from, both of which require 30-team control and are quite tedious:
- Before advancing the the Regular Season, go through each team and set their MLB 25-man roster manually. Only 25 players can be at the MLB Level; everyone else needs to be sent to either AAA, AA, or A. You can still have 40 guys on the "40-man roster" (the "40-man" column that has "yes" or "no" next to each player), but you can only have 25 at the MLB Level.Y OR
- Advance to the Regular Season and allow the CPU to set the MLB 25-man rosters automatically. Before playing any games, go in and adjust each lineup manually.
So for these fixes, you have to pick your poison:
For option 1, you have to trim down every MLB roster to 25, but the lineups will remain in the correct order when you advance to the Regular Season.
For option 2, you don't need to worry about the 25-man roster, but you have to fix all 4 lineups for every team (which also requires fixing some players playing in the wrong position, btw).
I personally prefer option 1.
Hope this helps.Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Guys I know this is not ideal, but my plan is to wait for v 2 rosters start a 30 team roster. Sign some players to realistic contracts and add extensions to players. I am going to then add all real injuries and fix MLB lineups....then save. I can then restart as many times as I would like.
A little more work I know, but the saying goes when given lemons make lemonade.Comment

Select to control all 30 teams. Use your profile to control your team (Indians for me). Set all the global settings to auto at this time...it doesnt matter.
Finish ST, advance to Regular season. Set global options regarding rosters to manual. Now comes the hard part. You will have to go thru and change the rosters to accurately represent real life. Yes, you will have to do this yourself guys. you will have to do some call ups and send downs, but no more than 1 per team, and probably 0 for most teams as the game doesnt screw this up that bad. Then you will have to change all the rotations and lineups for all the teams, minors too. As for waivers, i only had 1 issue here and since i set the global settings to manual, the CPU couldnt claim the guy...so no problem.
once you do all this go back into global settings and change the setup to auto for everything. The lineups do stick even with it at auto. Sure the cpu will make changes here and there. But i have not seen any change that made me say WTF.....no Helton batting 2nd or anything like that.
i am now at May 1st in my Indians chise and the lineups for the cpu are fine. I check them every few days in the chise just to make sure and the only team that has even made any real changes is the Angels. But those changes are warranted and its nothing weird.
bottom line is your going to have to do some work on your own. Nobodies roster can solve this issue because there is no way around ST. print out a form, or get a PC near your PS3 and think of this as MLB the Show, the worlds first RPG Sports game cause your going to play the role if you want to see correct lineups and 40 mansComment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
btw, a 30 team controlled franchise is the only way to play it this year. dont take my word for it though. OS people have tested this and it is the only way to play.
there is really no reason not to either. Even with you controlling all 30 teams, u set everything to auto for the other 29. But the 30 team control allows you to make changes as needed....for those pesky little BS CPU tradesComment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
If I am only interested in playing ONE full 162 games season (I might not even finish it)... is there a way if I chose season instead of franchise to disable spring training and to start from game one of regular season, though having nothing to change?OS Rookie since 2004!Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
The one good thing about Season mode, though, is that you only have 40 players per roster to worry about, which should make fixing everything easier.Comment

I think the setting would be CPU roster control. And then set everything else to auto.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
