If I understand your question, yes. When you started your franchise you should have chosen the Cubs as your team and left the rest on CPU. Once in your franchise there are a wwhole gang of settings for aspects of GM, etc which you can set to manual (your) or auto (cpu will handle it) This includes being the manager, which allows you to set any line up, rotation you want, and also includes callups, sned downs and what not. Youhave total control over the franchise, even advertising etc. If I misunderstood, sorry about that!

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
it is annoying, but it's a necessary evil. it's pretty easy to do just very time consuming. i just do 30-team roster control, and edit every lineup from AA and up so that big time prospects are starting and getting development in. i don't mind so much WHERE they bat in their lineups as long as they're in there. same with rotations.
for the major leagues though, i fix everyone's rosters to be perfectly aligned to how they are IRL. takes a few hours, but you get to know every team, every lineup, and learn more about the players and who's where after the offseason moves and suchComment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
After ST, I just went to every team and made their lineups to how I think they should be. They may not be exactly how they are in real life, but they are realistic and I wouldn't think twice about the realism of the lineup when I face them. To save time, I just adjusted DH lineups for AL and No DH lineups for NL......when interleague play rolls around ill just go do the rest.Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
This sounds promising.
So all we need do is basically reduce the 40 man to 25 BEFORE even clicking to start a new franchise, save the rosters, and all will stick?
Do we simply move the 15 men we dont want in MLB down to AAA/AA and let the CPU deal with its lineups etc or do we need to set them as well?
This is actually doing my head in lol.Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Alright I am trying to follow everything here. I need to set my profile up for the team I want to be then set a profile up for the 29 other teams. (I want total control for my franchise) then before spring training ends I need to set each teams 25 man roster? Then once the season starts I need to set each line up?Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Also, won't that cause major problems with injuries? If a CPU player gets injured, they won't be able to call someone up because they only have 25 on their 40 man roster. You have to be on the 40 man roster to be called up to the Majors, right?Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Yes you have to be on 40 man roster and not an issue if player gets injuredComment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
It's not something that can be patched.
The game doesn't know who Jason Werth is. It knows player #2396, who has such-and-such ratings, and puts it where it thinks he needs to be.
Hard-coding where a player should be batting would lead to more problems than it would be worth, especially in multi-year franchises.
Even if you are only controlling one team (e.g., Phillies), and you have all your profile setting to Manual, once you leave ST, Rollins bats 6th, Werth 8th, etc. If the user isn't changing the lineups themselves, this should not happen.
So they should be able to patch the problem that Manual lineups is being overrided. That, and the fact that ball 4 in the dirt counts as an E2, should warrent a third patch, but that's wishful thinking.Comment

Re: HUGE PROBLEM WITH LINEUPS AFTER SPRING TRAINING!!!
Guys I know this is not ideal, but my plan is to wait for v 2 rosters start a 30 team roster. Sign some players to realistic contracts and add extensions to players. I am going to then add all real injuries and fix MLB lineups....then save. I can then restart as many times as I would like.
A little more work I know, but the saying goes when given lemons make lemonade.Comment
