i'm back at square one with this? i have my laptop on and i'm currently logged in to os and viewing this thread and i have my usb stick in hand...now just wondering what i need to do to make this work...went thru the steps before but it's not showing up on my ps3 i don't think. i need to unzip i guess...

I've got everything set on manual for my profile and global and it won't let me select opposing teams pitcher or lineup when I go to play a game. Am I doing something wrong? I thought if everything was manual I could control everything. I can go in and put whoever I want on DL, or release anybody but I can't control the lineups day to day in the match up screen before I play?

No, unfortunately not. You need a second controller for that.

However, if should stick if you look at it modify the lineup/rotation on the Roster menu before the game you're about to play. The CPU will of course rest players taht are tired, but if their was an injury (which you would have been notified about via the Manual setting), you can amend the lineup/rotation prior to playing that team.

Yeah, I just did that and it worked. This whole roster control is a bit confusing. So if I set my GLOBAL parameters to manual like trades for instance, will the CPU offer trades or not since it's under my control. Thanks for everything you've done.

Do you set CPU Roster Control to on? Whenever I chose my one team to control CPU Roster Control wasn't in any of the menu items

No. With Trades to Manual, you will have to initiate everything. I recommend NOT doing this. Since you're controlling every team, you can still veto every trade, just check the pending transactions screen every day. Some guys keep this to MANUAL until the trade deadline.

Basically, the way I do it, I have all of the global franchise management suff to auto (training, vendors, etc), INJURIES to ON, and Trades to auto. Everything else, 40 man, injuries, etc to Manual. This way, at the very least you get notified if any AI shenanigans are happening every day, and you still have the option to let the CPU resolve itself.

No. When you assign profiles to begin the franchise (when I began it before modifying) you do not need CPU roster control on. You have control of every team, you only have to assign a profile to yours to manage.
