Yes! I have Saturday off from work, too, so I could get quite a few games in with the full set.

There's no doubt I'm starting a Season (don't think I'll play Franchise as I'd like to just re-create 2000 and not go further) with the Mets. I didn't play baseball games when this team was doing their thing so it will be fun.

Knight, after reading Djwlfpack's post I'm now 100% confused/intrigued. Your last sentence, does that mean you'll have the entire set done by Friday or just the Brewers?

You stated you won't be working on them for a few days so I was guessing you were only referring to MIL. Is this some type of riddle?

Ha...no just the Brewers. That will leave me with 8 teams.
        Even I'm not that good!

I wrote up a post before, but forgot to hit the submit button.
It was the game I played.....late season....Mets vs. Brewers.
        Haynes vs. Hampton

Since it was late season...I played all my 40 man roster call ups.
        My lineup was
        Timo Perez CF
        Jon Nunnally RF
Mike Bordick SS(the trade for Mora)
        Matt Franco 1B
        Vance Wilson C
        Joe McEwing 2B
        David Lamb 3B
        Jason Tyner LF

The Brew Crew rolled with their regular lineup
        Marquis Grissom CF
        Mark Loretta SS
        Geoff Jenkins LF
Richie Sexson 1B(the trade with Cleveland)
        Jeromy Burnitz RF
        Charlie Hayes 3B
        Ronnie Belliard 2B
        Henry Blanco C

As you would expect, even Haynes could shut down that anemic lineup.
The Brewers scored 4 off of Hampton and had a homerun by Jeromy Burnitz(who was hitting .233 with 30 homers)
After Haynes melted a bit(he walked 5 through 7 giving up just 1 hit, a double by McEwing)...and then letting in a run....Davey Lopes knowing what was to come had enough and brought in Juan Acevedo. He was no better and after letting in 2 more and loading the bases.....Lopes turned to de los Santos who shut them down until the ninth where Wickman closed it out....despite me pinch hitting Alfonso, Piazza and Ventura(okay...I cheated a bit. )

That was a typo on my part, Joey. I meant to say updated rosters, not the full set.

Hi Knight well done so far on the set. Came back from holidays and the amount of teams and quality of the work is amazing. This is the only set I will use in future years of playing MLb 10. Looking forward to the Mariners release.

Great job on the roster so Knight, it looks really great! My Braves were pretty good back in the day with Furcal, both Jones, and Maddux and Glavine. It stinks though that we were swept by those Cardinals in the first round. I would of liked to take on your Mets Knight lol. Can't wait when this roster comes out so I could do a season with the Bravos.

                Thanks fellas.

I will hit up the M's after I finish the Brew Crew on Friday.
I wanted to switch back to the A.L. anyway.

That was a tough one for the Braves. I have been noticing that in my sim seasons...the Mets are a little too good or the Braves might be a notch to weak. I'll have to address that a little as I would really like to see the Braves take the division 7 or 8 times out of 10 in my sim seasons. Just a little FYI on that if others are seeing that also if they are fooling around with these pre-release.

                  Hi Knight,

Do you, or anyone else for that matter, use sliders or adjust them when using these and other classic sets?

Do you mean adjust them because of the fact it's a classic set? If so, I use the same sliders regardless of the roster set I'm using. The player ratings within the roster set should account for accurate stats, so IMO no other adjustments should be needed.

Well there were over 100 homeruns more per season back then.

I don't understand your point? You had multiple guys on most teams with 20-30+ homeruns...would adjusting their ratings to reflect that not produce the results you want?

Yes, I guess that's the question. In general do you use the same sliders for all rosters or adjust them according to their creator or era or period. I use the same for all but was curious if others made any adjustmennts for classic sets.

I can only speak for myself, but yes, I use the same sliders regardless of which roster set I'm using. In my experience the stats have been pretty much in line with the real life stats for every set I've played with, so I see no reason to adjust them myself.

I'll be back on these tomorrow night.

As for sliders....I always set up my roster sets with default sliders to give guys who use them the most leeway with setting it up for their own skill....either to make it more difficult or easier.

So far...the stats look great to me. There might be some minor tweaking here and there, but I definitely won't need to do anything in terms of major changes.
