Chicago White Sox - Brian Bruney = Generic 53

He is not even close to Hernandez. It looks nothing like him.
The video I looked at for Bruney was from 2 years ago when he was with New York, so IDK.

Now that I look at the video again, Trevor Cahill could work pretty well. I initially used Hernandez because the glove positioning was exact and the leg kick kind of resembled his. It wasn't my best work since he was one of the first guys I edited in the game.

I found the perfect stance for Starlin Castro of the Cubs, I don't believe that the ones listed here are as close as this stance. It is gen 37 and has all of his mechanics. The stance is slightly open, he waves his hands in a circular motion and most importantly, has a leg kick. Please let me know what you think.

Understandable. Guys change their motions every so often. I got Generic 53 yesterday after watching him pitch in the Sox/Cubs game I copied. I'll take a look at Cahill's though too, because I'm not fully satisfied with Generic 53. It's close, but not exact.

If he's out of the stretch, then Gen. 53 could work. I don't know how he pitches now, I haven't seen him in ST yet.

Prince Fielder for Castro is pretty good. The hand/arm placement and the bat motion are all really similar.

Lind isn't up on his toe like with Prado's stance. It's close but the front toe bothers me on this one. I have been using his own stance.

Hill's arm position is what sets his stance apart and with Thome you definitely get the great arm position. However, his stance is nowhere near as open as that. The front leg looks a little off as well. I'll pass.

Bautista is an interesting one. You have the right idea with Posey and the bat cocked straight back. However I still desire some bat wobble for my Bautista and have used LUKE SCOTT for two seasons now. Again, not perfect, but something to work with. This one if nothing else is your call.

For Rivera I again like what you have done but don't like the toe pointed in and the uneasy wobble of Fielder. So far this pre-season I have used Generic #138 for Rivera.
Curious what your thoughts were for an open stance for Bautista? I was toying around with some open stances, cuz he is SLIGHTLY open, and maybe not enough to be considered open. But there might be a possibility to go open or not. I don't have my game on at the moment, but for an open stance I think I was looking at Bernadina's and maybe one other that escapes me for the moment. Last year, I too, ended up using Luke Scott's stance cuz of the hands over the head and the crouched stance. Let me know what your thoughts are about open or not. Only problem is i don't think there's an in between. It's either open or not. Unfortunately there aren't too many stances that are "slightly" open. Thanks. Later

I've listed my entire Blue Jays edits so I won't waste your time, but a few things came to mind when reading your list.

-Molina has a HIDDEN stance. A decent one at that.

-Escobar's stance is greatly improved this year over last. He has always been standing directly over home plate in Sony's MLB and I noticed they've scaled it back just enough to hit the mark pretty square. I am more than pleased with what they have given him this year.

-Arencibia & Patterson are spot on with what you have listed. I use Blake for JP and #28 for Patterson. Good job.

-Snider is disappointing in the fact that last years Matt Kemp stance was PERFECT and this year the alterations they have made to Kemp make it impossible to use his stance for Snider. I have been using Sandoval despite the fact that the bat isn't high enough circling his head. It will have to do. I tried #53 when it was suggested earlier on this board, but decided against it in the end.

-I've jotted down your suggestions for Rivera, Lind & Hill. I'll input those and let you know.

-Encarnacion's own stance is perfect... spot on in fact.

-Bautista (as we discussed earlier) is getting alot of attention and I don't think anyone has been fully satisfied to this point. I have used Luke Scott's stance for a few years and find it holds as a decent substitute. Thanks for all the work.

Generic 108 is perfect for Porcello. It's the old Ben Sheets delivery and it works great.

Coke, I think, goes over the head on his windups, so Porcello won't work (unless he changed).

Scherzer's delivery is spot on out of the stretch.

Esobar's stance is flat out wrong in the game still (the hands are way out of place). Jones fits him pretty well though.

I was watching the Blue Jays game yesterday and noticed that Snider has closed up his stance this year. He no longer has an open stance. In the past I've used Encarnacion for Snider, as I thought it was a good fit. But obviously I think we need to find something better that is not open. Later

Just checked out one of his spring training vids - it looks the same to me. Maybe slightly more closed, but he's still slightly open, like he was last season.

                              http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play****p?content_id=13291727

It's a bit hard to see, since the camera angle kind of sucks and the pitcher is blocking his lower body, but from what I can tell, he's still slightly open.

                                Thanks NewRock!

What I do is just watch highlight footage from pitchers position with Ipad while scanning through the option stances on the game for each player on TV. Also have a pretty good idea about many of these guys as I watch pretty much all 162 Jays games a yr (die-hard) on satellite here in CA.

Let me know what you think especially about Hill (Reynolds..almost right on) & Lind (Headley...very very close) as I think those are by far the closest. I think Rivera has about 15 different possibilities that could pass for him.
Also try Castro for Snider as it isn't perfect (feet positioning) but pretty darn close.

I really looked hard for a better Bautista, but imo his stance is the closest to reality...of course not perfect

Pardon my ignorance as I'm 37, only have a PS3 for this one game annually and blu-rays. I don't play online and I only try and tweek and prepare the game with sliders, player stances etc to get as close to reality as possible.. and play a whole season with "myself" (LOL you know what I mean) against game and rarely with friends. I saw something about "hidden" stances and you mentioned that with Molina and I have no idea what that means or how to get to them? You guys have a quick link or something to save anyone from having to explain it. Appreciate it!

Almost forgot-- thanks ImBacon for the Jays pitchers as they look dam good and saved me a lot of time!
