Anyway that can be changed R&S? There is no way Felix should be on the low end of the A range....he's 25 and one of the premiere dominant arms in the game. Hey by the way...I've read through Knight's charts for A pot, B pot, etc. players....I don't understand at all how to edit the players to make their potentials right....like how is there a "low" end of the A potentials...??

Unfortunetly potential isn't editable. Especially with the MLB players with prospects we get around this by finding out if a prospect is a high/low A/B/C/D. They made it harder this yr by taking out the scouting reports which told you, but now you gotta run a full season sim to get that info.

I'm not sure exactly what the limitations are that prevents SCEA from allowing us to edit the potentials but there's gotta be one.

I simmed to 2017 and the players just don't develop enough IMO. There needs to be more dynamic huge increases. See some young guys become stars.

In 2016 Ackley has his best season and hit right around 300 (for the first time) and had 15-20 hr's. I personally think he will hit over .300 for a while.

Just looking through the league there isn't many new superstars. Some guys have the good season here and there but from a purely ratings standpoint. No guys develop into the elite players that are there already like Pujols, Braun, etc etc.

Best guy that developed seemed to be Moustakas,

Bunch of bullsh-t.. Felix may be the best pitcher in baseball, and he's a low A? Seriously..

I noticed this too in my RTTS career. Guys don't progress that well at all for the most part. Walker never became much of anything, Hultzen was a #5 starter at best and Paxton was garbage as well. Ackley, in seven years so far, has never hit over .285. Not sure if this is just isolated, but the progression is slow and the game is devoid of new stars.

Maybe the idea of greatly limited the A and B potential prospects should be looked at again. I think in our reluctance to give those grades out, we're hindering the overall franchise experience later down the line.

Like I said, I hope this is just a couple of isolated simulations, but no one stands out from the M's system at all and few young stars in the MLB ever really flourish.

I wonder if if has anything to do with the composition of the other teams... You'll notice that some teams have multiple F pot. guys.

If not progression could be busted since we're all getting similar results. I checked in on the big thread to see if anyone else has noticed this trend.

Also just remembered some more stuff I changed.

I overhauled Victor Sanchez's face, he actually looks human now.
Gave Kawasaki a new stance, check it out in BP its nice
Added pitch repitore's for maybe 10ish guys (ratings still need work)
Erasmo a near dead on motion, as do most the top pitchers. (I'll wrap up the rest of the guys over the next couple days)

sean- If you're free tomorrow I'd start working on the faces of the infielders. (There might be 2 Nick Franklins in the file I cant remember, if there is hold off.) I think I started on most of them but they just might need a 2nd eye and a few tweaks. Give Erasmo a check too, his basketball shaped head/face is super hard to do, maybe you can refine it a bit?

Interesting... in my test franchise, Stefen Romero (C pot) had an overall bar that was almost maxed out, every year he would gain 4 points in every stat, and hultzen had every /9 rating in the 80's. Granted, the numbers didn't quite match up with the stats, but keep in mind that the only edited team is ours, so the rest of the league might be too good.

Another thing to keep in mind is your settings and sliders. I think on default the CPU leaves in the starters too long and they get shelled in the later innings. With stamina on default, Felix would only pitch 200 innings a year, we all know that is not right. When i bumped stamina up a click, he started averaging around 230-240

Sure, if the base is already good, that allows me to go through players a lot easier. Good thing i don't have to work this week lol. Between this and pitch edits, im easily spending 8 hours a day trying to make a video game as realistic as possible

With the pitch edits, give guys the scea type pitches, heavily favorite the 4 seam, straight change, and reg curve as to what the movement might Actally be IRL.

Not sure how you're doing pitch edits. But for the guys i have done I went straight off scouting reports for the actual pitch, but if the report says something about the actual movement I've noted it on the excel file for when the roster version with MLB level pitch edits comes out.

I meant for OSFM V.4 or whatever, ive been compiling data the last few days, its a bitch to do, theres almost 700 guys who pitched last year

On brooks baseball there is actually spring training f/x data, they have Snow, Erasmo, etc. I'm not messing with guys who don't have hard data, i'll leave that to you guys
