Liddi with some more pop again tonight!

This is going to be a manager's mess when Carp and Guti get back from their injuries. Seager should be an everyday infielder but Liddi is now making his case (albeit a small sample size). I like Saunders' aggressiveness so far.

        What to do!

Perfect world scenario has Montero catching full time to free up the DH spot for a rotation of Carp/Smoak/Liddi so everyone gets their share of playing time. I think every game Jesus has caught he has raked and we've won.

I've noticed that too. Montero hits better when he catches.

Hey guys, Ive been messing with Carp's stance and I really like Scott Rolens stance for him, high hands and 2handed follow through

For Saunders I've been using randy winns stance which. Believe is gen 202, it just looks smooth for him

Anyone think Carter Capps K/9 should be raised? Its at a 56 right now.

                  Absolutely.

I would also like to see Julio Morban added to the set... He's off to a good start but he may not deserve a roster spot. Same goes for Mario Yepez; guy is 21 and in AAA. Not sure what his prospect status is, but I think guys like Scott Patterson and Jarrett Grube/Sean Henn could be removed for some of these younger guys. I know that makes it very prospect heavy, so I am not sure what other people think.

Capps is close to MLB ready and IMO, his K/9 should be sitting at about 80. I think he could come to Seattle now and average a K an inning.

Yeah, especially since he is a C potential as well. Pryor needs a huge boost too.

I wish there was a way to edit potential...

Capps and Pryor both deserve a B - mostly because the progression on C guys, from what I've seen, leaves a lot to be desired. If SCEA gives Liddi a B, I think some of these guys should be more in line with that.

At any rate, potential grades can be a tricky thing but I think sometimes the set is a bit too stingy with B potentials...

Progression is totally dependent on overall and age. The potential grade is basically a forecast of the player's overall when he reaches age 31. When we still had Brad Miller as a C, I saw him gaining 4 points in every rating since he had a limited time frame to become a C overall. Same thing happened with John Jaso, who has a B potential and is rated D overall. I could redo Capps as a B, since boosting his k/9 turns him into a C overall and he likely won't progress anymore.

Shawn Kelly up; Erasmo Ramirez sent down to Tacoma.

                            Link

Looks like the plan is to stretch out Ramirez's arm in Tacoma in preparation of giving him a shot in the rotation later this month or in June. He'll most likely replace Millwood, IMO.

Good to see Kelley back in Seattle...

Sean, I'd love to see a B potential Carter Capps. If Pryor is a B, I feel Capps should be as well. They are neck and neck as far as our future closer goes, I think.

Hmm, I remember saying Kyle Seager had 15 home run power this year and being scoffed at...
