His curveball is a plus pitch, filthy today...just fell off the table.

The fastball definitely has plenty of hop.

Folks, I know there are a lot of O's fans, but there is a thread in the Pro Baseball forum for real life chatter. Keep this for the roster talk.

I think discussion of, for example, a pitcher's performance and repertoire and how it should translate in the OSFM roster should be fine. General Orioles chat, not so much.

                  On that note:

Jake Arrieta's player card on pitchF/X:
                  http://brooksbaseball.net/player_car...?player=453562
(just search the other pitchers on there using the search feature).

Great tool for comparing pitcher's repertoire and individual values of each pitch such as break and control. For those that want to edit the roster a bit more before they jump into franchise, this is the perfect tool.

How do you plan on differentiating pitches like running fb, sweeping curve, circle change and 12-6 curve. Also I now noticed Padilla is throwing a Eephus pitch, any idea what the closest pitch to that would be?

I have my own formulas, they're floating around here somwhere. For Padilla, how fast is his eephus? If its below 67 (limit for curveball I believe) I might try a knuckleball with zero movement and see how that works out. My spreadsheet is completed (pitch corrections thread) but I am going to update with '12 data once guys get a couple more starts in.

I'll be waiting on that, and knowing someone is using the PitchF/X to create a uniform system is excellent news. How long would it take you to complete that task?

Not that long, it is much easier to plug the data into the game than it is to compile it; that took me 2 weeks on and off. It also depends on how quick we get v2 as well.

Yikes, that is impossible to emulate in-game, not even the knuckleball is that slow. I remember a few years ago his eephus/curveball was around 63-67 mph, maybe I'll just go with that.

Brooksbaseball actually categorizes it as a Curveball w/ an avg speed of 59.
