There will be 25 guys on the 40 man rosters so you can do a season without worrying about whats happening in the minors. The minors will be filled with current players/fake minors/ and few other old timers not on my top 25 list. If I didn't make the player yet, I've taken them from the vault. Many of the guys made by Scooter, Sublime and many others are on here. Like I said, I'm editing them to my liking so they may not be the exact copy made by others. I just want a playable roster that will be ready for my summer. Last year just took too long, and it wasn't even finished, so I decided to chop this roster from 40 to 25.

As far as the 40 man roster goes, the spreadsheet looks like it hasn't been touched since I made a bunch of edits a couple of months ago. If someone wants to complete it using mine as a base that would be great.

The spreadsheet hadn't been edited, but the master file had a ton of work done to it. Spent the past two weeks getting every single player in the set (info/stances/equipment) and wiping the minor league clean.

Found out PJ was still making players and his own 25 man roster without telling me or anybody else who was working on it. I wasted too much time to find out that people were doing the same thing already. Not wasting anymore time. The roster and thread is now pj's as far as Im concerned his 25 man roster is all thats going to be released

Wow, so the project is off? I feel bad for Scooter and Dr. Sublime. They put in all that work.

pj is still using their players. The project is not off, I am just not doing anything else at least until the 25 man is done

Just my opinion but who gives two ****s about what pj is doing. This is your project don't let someone else screw it up!

Yeah I don't really see the big deal either...however, if roy is burnt out, I think it may be a good idea to let pj take over for a while...he does quality work as well so we won't be getting the short end of the stick by any means...on the other hand, if in fact more work was done on the master set of roys than what pj has done on his own so far, then I think pj should scrap what he has done and yall could continue with what roy has and then in the future maybe better communication between eachother...i know it's hard when so many people are putting in work on this, but someone needs to be in charge and facilitate all communication...after all, we all only wish to see the most accurate possible classic roster and you guys have been right on track just hope no one is giving up after such hard work...cheers fellas

I thought you were in favor of using the best version of each player regardless of whether or not you or someone else already worked on them. What changed your mind?

Actually I updated the spreadsheet every time I uploaded a cap into the vault along w posting a screenshot in this thread

cant get more clear on to who and what im working on then literally showing the whole community every time i upload a cap.

This is supremely irritating, a lack of communication will always create a failure ... seems like pj is the main culprit, but thats just an assumption, ..

I thought this roster was for the ENTIRE community... not for pj

I agreed to spend A lot of my free time making caps because I was under the impression that this was a team collaboration between a few talented cap/roster creators to make an ultimate roster for everyone

This was the plan as far as I knew. Seems like pj has a seperate agenda from everyone else who was working on this. Not sure if I would have even agreed in the first place had I know he would be changing them once he got them (facial appearance)

I feel a bit manipulated being that ive made a huge amount of caps and spent hours upon hours making them only to have my artistic representation of them modified to someone else's liking prior to release.

Post release whatever, people can change it to their individual liking, but the main file should be unaltered originals and I had been operating under the impressing that they would be up until this point

No idea.. not sure what is actually going on or who has the master file. I will pm a few people and try and get a handle of what's going on. Even if I have to make every player myself I want this project complete.
And next year if we can come together quicker qbd make a plan we should be able to avoid this mess that just happened

I'm shooting for a 25 man roster set for some time around then. The 40 man roster looks like its in neutral right now. My roster will be a combination of players taken from the vault, and made by myself. All players will have been edited to my liking to get the closest likeness, correct gear, etc. All players attributes will be edited with their (total) career stats. The players are 25 of the best from each organization, fan favorites etc. Right now I've got Oak, SF, LA, NYY, Bal, Bos, Tor, and NYM completely done. TB, Cin are almost done. All other teams are about 50% there.

Arizona should be done.. i completed all the caps for that team a LONG time ago.

pj is still using their players. The project is not off, I am just not doing anything else at least until the 25 man is done

when you're ready, I am willing able and able to collaborate on completing the remaining portions, heck i'd even do ALL the faces if someone else was willing to do attributes/gear/stance edits,

(and replacing any PJ post edits w/ artist originals)

we just need a set plan w/ who is willing and able to work on this going forward

I PM'd you and a few others about this.


its a shame, because PJ does such excellent work, but the "I want My roster for My summer" attitude is just disappointing.

Don't give up guys. This is a great project don't let it be ruined by one bad apple. You guys have done a ton of work and it would be a shame to see that go to waste.
