Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
Under what criteria does Arod belong on Seattle vs New York? Arod has played more games as a Yankee then any other team. He's hit more Home Runs as a Yankee then as a Mariner. He won his two MVP awards in New York and his World Series. Think about this, Arod hit 365 homers with the Mariners and Rangers and 310 with the Yankees. If he gets in the Hall of Fame he won't be wearing a Mariners cap..
I'd venture to guess most true Yankees fans would put Nettles in the same category as Boyer or Rolfe but ahead of Arod? No way!Comment

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
There are a lot of players in the history of the major leagues that have had great careers with multiple teams. Which one do you place each one on without offending someone? I think the answer is you can't.
The good news is that it's really easy to move a player from one team to the other and get your favorite player(s) on the teams that you'd like. That's one of the really cool aspects of The Show and these types of rosters.Comment

Oh well otherwise great job...
I think maybe in the translation from French to English something is missing in my question.Last edited by Leonscat; 06-15-2012, 02:34 PM.Comment

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
So now I'm not a fan of the game? Ok.
I'm not speaking on behalf of anyone regarding the thought process of where ARod should go, I am merely speaking my opinion. I do not identify him as a Yankee, plain and simple. It's as much the nostalgia of those teams with Griffey and ARod as anything, I will always think of him as a Mariner - and a SS. So yes, I have followed him throughout his career, and yes, I still want him on SEA and not NY. (And yes, I am a fan of the game.)Comment

As far as guys being on certain teams....
Feel free to move them wherever you want, these are just a base. The only thing, is if you start moving guys around, 40 man rosters may get messed up, jersey numbers may get off, and so on. Other than than, thanks for all the positive feedback.
Again, if you see a better stance, delivery, or anything that you feel should be changed, we can take note of that and update it for the 40 man.Comment

Also I should've used the word historian instead of fan. English is a second language (actually it's a 5th language but 2nd most comfortable.) I'm sorry if in my own confusion and misunderstanding of your language I insulted you. Sometimes it's frustrating knowing the word your looking for in French or Italian but coming up with a blank or getting it wrong in English. English is a pretty tough language to learn. Everything is so....backwards..lol
I think if I wrote I'm pretty sure anybody who has followed his career would agree. People that are historians of the game......
If I had said that to you in French I think it would come off less insulting, which was not my intention. Then again if I said that you in French the google translation would probably be way off or you'd be asking me what the heck I was saying!Last edited by Leonscat; 06-15-2012, 03:08 PM.Comment

I did move him to the Yankees.....I just asked a simple question about the though process into the decision. He doesn't belong on the Mariners, I'm pretty sure anybody who has followed his career would agree. People that are fans of the game......
Oh well otherwise great job...

But then again, people are free to mess with the rosters to their liking.Comment

pjsnell:
These are awesome rosters. So a guy can only be on one team? So I can't have Griffey on both Cincinnati and Seattle?
Like I said, any changes I suggest are just constructive feedback in order to improve these even further.
Nice user name.

I'm sorry, I hope you don't think I don't apperciate the hard work. Where I'm from in Canada, where I lived in New York and Florida nobody considers Arod a Mariner. It would be like saying Nolan Ryan is a Mets legend!
I should've just kept my mouth shut!Comment

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)
If you want, you can just copy Griffey and then put him in Cinci if you like. For this project, it was pretty unanimous that we'd only have Griffey (or any star on multiple teams) be on the roster once though.Comment

It's all good, glad you're enjoying the rosters. I have absolutely no problem if people want to move players around.Comment

bigdoc, you can put him on both, you just need to export him from within the roster, which will save him to your HD. Then you can click on whoever you want to replace him for on the Reds and choose Import and import him to that team as well.Comment
