I've just cracked a beer in your guys honor!

...however, since this is baseball and we're all stat-obsessed: any reason why Ty Cobb's BR ability and BR aggressivenss are so low? I was expecting to see 90's, but saw 50's and 60's.

Just finished my first game of the season. Got down 7-0 early, Rube Waddell got knocked around by Seattle. Ending up tying it late, then Reggie Jackson hit a two run walk off, off of Jamie Moyer in the 10th. Good way to start off the season.
Nice man, in my first game of the season w/ the tigers i played the Boston sox. was 1-0 sox for most of the game because of a 2 out solo shot by ted williams. that was the only hit that jack morris gave up until the 8th when carlton fisk hit a liner off morris's head, game says he is out for 6+ months with a head fracture (anyway i can undo this?). Anyways, ty cobb led off the ninth with a stand up triple. charlie gehringer and al kaline procedded to srike out. so then it was two outs for hank greenburg and he blasted a walk off two run shot over the general motors fountain in centerfield and the tigers won 2-1.

Too bad about the injury. I always turn them off for this type of roster. I hope to DL them tonight. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Nice rosters. Willie Stargell threw left-handed. Pirates look good. Bob Veale nice edition. Will give them a try.

You know what, I just double checked Ty Cobb's career stats on baseball reference, and it doesn't take into account a lot of Cobb's early career. His average said 22 SB's a year with 11 caught stealing a year. That's why those are so low. That can be adjusted for the next roster. Good catch and thanks for bringing that up.

By the way, when starting a season, you should control all teams, and turn CPU on. This avoids all injuries, and since there's only 25 guys on the roster, there aren't any other options. I gave everyone 80-95 stamina, didn't figure these would matter much.

All I can say is WOW!!!! Took these for a quick spin last night for a 3 inning exhibition affair playing my Red Sox against the Yanks. I had a 4-0 lead before succumbing to sleep. The faces and stances are tremendous and my sliders at all-star seems to jell quite nicely with respect to the caliber of players that are offered in this roster so hats off to the ratings as well. Just one note FYI, Mo Vaughn threw with his right but I just made that change myself. These will give this year's title a permanent place in the game case for the foreseeable future. I plan on playing every game of a season with the Sox and there are many other teams I want to play with as well. Great to see the uni #s stay in place as that is huge for player identity. Now only if they'd give us more unis, stadiums of the past, and playoff mode we'd be all set. Roster carryover from year to year would be great as well! Again, fantastic work to everyone involved for such a comprehensive and extremely enjoyable roster set.

Wow! These are great! Thanks so much.

Is it possible to put a player on multiple teams? For example, it would be great to have Gary Carter on the Mets, Tom Seaver on the Reds, etc.

Also, as a die-hard Reds fan, would love to see Mario Soto and Don Gullett created and added if anyone feels up to it. Soto was the master at changing speeds on people.

Hey -- don't take these as criticisms -- just constructive feedback. I was playing the Mets and I think Doc Gooden's motion is closer to Generic 21 or 23. I just watched him so much that I noticed that it didn't look like his motion. Let me know your thoughts. I'm also going to try and nail down Strawberry's swing as well.

Great work, played a quick 5 innings with the Yanks-Reds at Crosley Field and it looked amazing. Scooter, PJ all just great work!

If people find little errors, such as the wrong throwing-hand, etc, I think they should post them so we can work it on the 40-man. Not things like "I think Boog Powell should have higher Power vs. L" but factual errors and glaring errors like the Cobb baserunning thing.

I am starting to work on tweaking ratings and players this to my personal liking, including guys such as Gullet, Soto, and many others for the 16 classic older teams. I will be putting each player to the vault and will create a spreadsheet with my changes. Doesn't mean I don't think the work done is good, because it is fantastic, just have my personal preferences like everyone. Hope everyone enjoys playing with these rosters and any similar rosters that come about!

I've been eagerly following this thread ever since getting the game and joining the forums. Thanks to all of the creative and collaborative minds for this, it adds so much value to games of this nature.
What's the best way to sort the vault to download this roster or any of the edits using this as the base?
I usually vote "negative" for any of those annoying rosters with names like "_aaaa" so that the OS rosters always appear on top based on popularity & votes.

                          Regards,

Use the "vault" feature to download the roster set. If you follow the thread, you'll see the user who created it and he just uploaded it to the vault in the last day or two. Then, make sure you load that roster to use it.
