Re: The best ratings calculator?
milb.com has splits, idk if you've checked it out but it's my go to site when I try to create prospects. Is there anyway to create a calculator where we can input the info for pitchers? That would be awesome.Last edited by MJHSpanda57; 08-04-2012, 05:51 PM.Comment

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Minor League Central works but every time I try to copy over the data, it gets all screwy and just copies it all into one cell. I can't figure out how to keep the original formatting.
I'd be happy to make a sheet just for manual input. I'll try and work on that tomorrow and post it up. I can do it for the batters and pitchers.
And for the record, everyone feel free to make any changes you want to. If you have an idea, post it up. You don't have to ask my permission. With the community working together, I believe this can be the best ratings calculator available and can greatly reduce the time it takes to edit rosters.Comment

Re: The best ratings calculator?
Alright here is version 7 of the calculator. I have done a few more things to it.
I'd love it if that poster would post his fielding ratings. It'd be good to check out.
This now includes a manual calculator for both batters and pitchers.Attached FilesComment

Kritter I just use the same formulas that you use in your calc, I don't do anything new just try to combine your calc with TheGame calc................ I think if you two work together this can be a great calc. Just try the implement the stats and zips with both calculators.....Last edited by sky63; 08-12-2012, 10:26 PM.Comment

Anyway, I'm happy to take any suggestions you have and look at implementing them.Comment

You have to input the stats yourself from baseball reference. Great calculator but very time consuming.Comment

Re: The best ratings calculator?
Anyone care to share ideas of things that would like me to implement in my calculator (since the stats are already there) from Kritter's?
I appreciate your desire to allow edits to your project, Kritter. If we work as a community, I believe we can make the best possible ratings calculator.Comment

Re: The best ratings calculator?
What I would love to see somebody do is find a way to import the stats from Baseball-Reference.com into the correct spots on the Kalkulator to get stats for each team, like Bahnzo was able to do, but I realize that takes a lot of know how, and a lot of time to keep up with bugs and changes BR.com does to their site (which is why Bahnzo stopped), so for now, I continue along with what I have. I can tell people how this works, believe me, its not as slow as it seems if you get it down. You just need time to do it. Man I wish I could get somebody to do each team from 1988 to this season, would save me a lot of time, but again, I know I'm asking a lot...Comment
