Not all free agents are available to sign when editing cpu rosters in Franchise Mode.

Go to Personnel Tab, Go to CPU Roster Control, Select any team, Go to Player Movement, Scroll to Free Agents (It actually appears as "Free Agents 3")

All free agents are available to sign via the Aquisitions tab by Player Controlled Teams.

For instance, I'm the Giants, I want to sign C Ramon Hernandez. I go to Free Agents via the Aquisitions tab and can sign him without any problem at all.

But, when I go to Player Movement in CPU Roster Control to have Colorado sign him and then trade him to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Aaron Harang, Ramon Hernandez doesn't even appear in the list of Free Agents!

There are other instances as well.

It would be way cool if the CPU Roster Control Free Agents list was revisited and revised.

Where's Clay Rapada? He was on the Yankees before and now I can't find him in the FA list in this roster set. Did you guys remove him?

Some Rockies updates that I've come across...

Matt McBride - Move from 1B to C (AAA)
Joe Gardner - Move from SP to RP (AAA)
Ryan Wheeler - Move to 1B with 3B as a secondary position (AAA)
Jordan Pacheco - Move to 1B with C/3B as secondary (MLB)

SP Wilfredo Boscan is in the Padres system in real life...in the game on V1 he's still on Texas

Some Rockies updates that I've come across...

Matt McBride - Move from 1B to C (AAA)
Joe Gardner - Move from SP to RP (AAA)

Also, Lars Davis should be 27 years old, not 20.

As of the latest update, Hector Santiago is STILL a righty. He needs to be changed to a lefty, and at least for my version, I swapped out his slider for his screwball.

I started a franchise and thought the same thing, let the trades unfold however they want. CPU trades on absolutely ruins the experience with unrealistic trade after unrealistic trade. I would say 50% of the top 50 prospects were traded in deals that wouldn't happen in real life, ever! Sano was traded twice, Taijuan Walker was traded twice, Taveras was traded, Zunino and Franklin went in the same deal for jj Hardy, etc etc....I could go on, but you get the point. And mind you, all these trades happened in year 1! I will not play a franchise with CPU trading on anymore.

That trades in this game are a disgrace year after year. They never fix the logic.. Jeter to the Padres? Ya ok.

move Brandon Allen from the Rangers to Padres (or FA). Not sure who you would remove from the Padres...maybe Medica?

Do you guys know if Clay Rapada was removed from the roster set to make room for somebody?

If so, I didn't know that we could import a player over a real player in the game.

It's the only explanation I can think of. Clay Rapada is on the default and latest update from SCEA. Clay Rapada is also on OSFM v1 (before the fixes by Ripner). I can't find him anywhere in this version of OSFM roster set.
I assume somebody imported a player over him, but I'm hoping that's not the case. He is nowhere to be found on the 3 FA list or any team roster.

He is in the version OSFM V1 that I released...he may have been imported over in one of the Ripners rosters.

The only import I made was the Seattle Mariners one over the fake player.

Knight is working on the V2 of the OSFM now, I'm done with updating V1.
