And let me guess this was the article on Bleacher Report. Who I tend to discredit because of most of the articles I have read on that website. I read one before the NHL playoffs started that the Rangers were going to win the Stanley Cup this season against the Blackhawks in 6 games. And also those expectations could be those of Puig, last season's performance, because they were both signed that same offseason.

It was but not all the articles on the site are bad they do have some good writers and the points he brings up are at least somewhat valid.

Very true but to be fair that's a problem any news/article site or show have, they all have at least one person who has god awful opinions or articles.

Different people write for different sports.. the Cubs writers for Bleacher Report are pretty good, but that is the only team I read articles for so I wouldn't know about the other teams/sports

I havn't really checked out franchise yet since im waiting for the rosters but yesterday I just wanted to check on the Cubs to see what ratings they had and I was shocked to see how low some of their players are rated. Even though the Cubs aren't winning a ton of games atleast they are getting some good pitching from a few starters. I also felt like Rizzo was being lowballed aswell, he is hitting pretty well in addition to being more patient at the plate this season. I was also quite surprised by how low Jonathan Sanchez was aswell, he might have had a few years with injuries and less than stellar performances but I always thought he had pretty good stuff and got a lot of K's. He should atleast be able to get back into being a RP or something.

They changed up the ratings system.. if you look at all of the other teams you will notice that all players are rated lower. It gives a better range of overalls to place players. Years past they had a lot of 99 OVR players but some were actually rated higher than that so they decide to redo the ratings system to make more noticable ratings wise who is better

I know but still like Yonder Alonso that is sporting something like a .200 batting average is rated 1 point higher than Rizzo or Aaron Harang at 74 the same rating as Bruce Chen. Some of the ratings are just weird, but yeah it's better to see some difference in the stats. I was looking without the update yesterday so some of the ratings were just really low, Harang was at like a 65 I think.

Rizzo did have "down" year last year, but i still believe that he was more unlucky than bad. The lower ratings you are pointing out could be due to potential. Yonder and Rizzo both are still young while Chen and Harang are older and more likely to drop off towards the end of the year

I'm planning on using the Cubs this year, love the pieces they have in the minors.

First thing I plan on doing is adding a young MLB ready pitcher/some pitching prospects. I'm probably going to look to deal Samardzija and Soler.

Players I plan on moving in the first season...Samardzija, Schierholtz, E Jackson for sure. WIll also consider moving S Castro, and in the minors Soler and C Villanueva.

Im probably gonna be shipping out Edwin Jackson, Nate Schierholtz, Justin Ruggiano and Luis Valbuena. I might also be looking to get rid of Jose Veras and Pedro Strop. If Tommy Hansson is available from the free agent pool I will be picking him up for the starting rotation. Soler will probably be called up to replace Schierholtz other than that i'll just have to roll with the punches. I really like the thought of Samardzija, Hammel, Wood, Hansson and Arietta in my rotation.

So is your Outfield Lake Bonifacio and Soler? Also any thought of bringing up Bryant and putting him in the outfield instead of Soler?
