Thanks Knight. I am very excited for the ps4 version. Gonna roll out my Mets in style right out the gate with a Rotation of Harvey, Wheeler, Syndergaard, Montero, and Gee. They all coming up right away!Comment

As for the whole zips thing, I don't see anything wrong with it. Of course it is equally important to consider tools and why certain stats might be low/high (it's usually plate discipline that affects power and hit tools), so that's why the perfect blend is always a little bit of scouting and a little bit of analysis. And I'm pretty sure that was the plan in the first place so it's a non-issue lolBakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Re: MLB The Show'14(PS3 and PS4)-Operation Sports Full Minors-RECRUITING
NYYanks26 simmed a season of MLB 14 and uploaded screens http://s1253.photobucket.com/user/OS...?sort=3&page=1
I have to say the sim stats look exceptional. If OSFM ratings are kept on the same scale as the default rosters the results should be great!
Last year I rated the Mets and one thing I noticed was how using the spreadsheet the AAA created guys got much higher ratings then the AAA guys already in the roster. Zach Lutz and Josh Satin for example who were two of our better AAA players last year were both in the default SCEA roster rated around 55 but after adding major league players according to the spreadsheet they basically were relegated to AA with those ratings. And since we don't edit preexisting players it was a little funny.
I could have messed up or maybe SCEA rated them too low to begin with but either way I just hope we get similar great sim stats from AAA and AA as I see in the screens above for MLB. I am so pumped for this game!Comment

Just checking in here.
Only a couple of days before release.
Take your time...but be quick!
Seriously....for the "vets"...you guys know the deal...slow and steady wins the race and makes for a better roster.
For guys tackling it for the first time....take your time and don't overwhelm yourself. Getting players edited takes time.
Thanks!

Not sure what made me think of it. But if someone gets the game early or when they're going through, be sure to point out any editable prospects with service time.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

was thinking the same thing, if someone has the game can they do that.. also be good if they could print off Full roosters (or take pics) so I we can start over the weekend writing things up or players that need to be created. and when the game comes get stuck straight into it!Comment

Also you should probably create an extra 5-10 players for changes that get made the next week by teams or to make things fit.
I have a spreadsheet I put the ratings into by position and level and everything is there ready to enter.

You can start without knowing how many of what there are on the team. I literally have everything done for the Blue Jays minus creating faces for about 5 players - I copied all of my faces from last year on a capture device onto my computer to just transfer.

So do I. And there are only a couple who might be in the game, so I make up for it on the back end.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams
