I regretfully have to say that it does not appear that I will be able to work on the Brewers this year. I just don't seem to have the time to put in the research and entering time, with how busy I am with school and work. Plus that later than usual release throws me off and doesn't allow me to work on it over spring break.

After, I think, 3 years of working on the Brewers, I just don't seem to have the time. Unless I really get the itch once the game drops, it looks like I'll be sitting this one out. If whoever ends up working on the Brewers has any questions regarding a particular player, I should have some past research lying around somewhere or could look for a couple, just doesn't seem like I'd have time to research to 45 or so minor leaguers this year.

Since potential is editable now, can we go ahead and use create a player instead of editing over dudes? I'm assuming so, but not sure if there is anything unusual we would need to look out for.

I don't think they added any injury specific items.

Knight, is there anything new in the player editor this year that you are allowed to discuss? I'm just asking because I am using MLB 13 right now to get a head start on some edits, just wondering if there was anything new I needed to look out for.

In theory...yes....but I didn't get to test out anything in regards to progression in November(the builds were just not stable enough to run anything long term)....but I would say until we are sure that changing the potential does indeed change the players progression/regression....we should err on the side of caution. Using A's and changing there potential only to find out there is a bug that doesn't change them in the system would be a disaster.

Lorne was trying to get a few changes in(equip)....but other than that....it's the same.(except for potential) ....they have changed two things.....the label on baserunning ability is stealing now(maybe not in the editor though)...AND speed is much more of a factor in stealing ability now as well as aggression.(which on the surface makes sense...but I wish was not the case....you lose a bit of control with this.....think Kevin McReynolds 1988...he was 21-0 in steals.....with the new system....he would need a pretty high speed rating to attain near that......but he was never "very" fast...just a great base runner).

But for the most part it's the same.

bdolski reminds me that we need some more editors.....I see plenty of OSFM team threads...which is great...but we could use more hands on deck!

Only way I'd be able to help is if someone did the research and gave me the players and ratings/potentials and I just had to put it all in the game.

I'd have time for that, just as usual would have to have someone else do the faces, so if someone did the set up and research, sent me it, I could get it all punch in within a day or two, and then send it back for faces. I could do that with a couple teams if I needed to, I just don't have time to spend a lot of time digging for pitch types and setting up the ratings. I'd love to help out in some manner to keep my streak going. haha.
