That's a question for someone with more MLB-editing chops, but I have a feeling that there are more factors at play. Guys?
We already decreased pitcher ratings and if you look at the numbers the /9 numbers match up with real life.

Guys the roster won't be 100% done by tomorrow, edits are almost done, but I need to test this out and make sure everything we have done still works - there are aprx 200 player updates not including the Pitch Edits.

The sim engine is not perfect in this game and no matter what we do with the ratings we still will have the same issues - it seems to change every time we run the sim.

Willard, I noticed something interesting and wasn't sure if it's intentional or not. Some aging veteran players can actually improve significantly through the season depending on their ratings. I had Ryan Howard in a sim go from a 63 or 62, whatever he is, to a 76 by the end of the year. He finished with a BA around .240 or .250, 33 homers and over 100 rbi's. Not sure if the huge increase was linked to his pretty good production or not, but I just thought it was interesting to see a vet actually improve instead of decline.

So we are looking at this weekend before v2 is out?

Willard, comb through this bitch good and hard, get it perfect and release it when you're good and ready. Everyone will still download it no matter if it's tonight or a week from tonight...

You are right Threebs, I think though alot of folks could care less about what number some minor leaguer will be wearing, or some guy hits switch in double A. I think most folks wanted a V1 and a pitch edit, which is done, so I can understand where they are coming from!

Not a complaint just need clarification. You said if you got edits done by 7 or 8 could have a version 2 tonight. Now it's pushed till at least Friday. Just wondering as I don't want a "when is the eta" posts every 5 min

It's just crazy how off the sim engine is. The offensive numbers just aren't even close to what they were the last 5 years.

Once I get the pitch edits I'm going ham on this thing to try and figure out a solution. To put a number to it the top team batting avg last year was .283 and I've done 5 season sims and haven't got over .264 yet.

I have to be at my Mother in laws for dinner at 5 tomorrow - it will be released before then. No chance I will be home from work before 3 - so somewhere in that 2 hour window.

                This thing is incredible.

Was worth the wait and this coming from a guy who doesn't care about pitch edits normally.

I wish people would stop spreading misinformation about sliders...that DO NOT affect simmed stats. Except for injuries.

Agree 100%. A better V2.0 release means less people waiting around for V2.1.

You guys of course have more things to worry about, but to add to the players who might need a boost/edit, please check Andrew Susac, C, Giants. He's a top 75, maybe even top 50 prospect in some rankings. MLB ready catcher who is batting over .280 (with a .384 OBP) with some pop in AAA. Maybe just a tad boost is needed across the board.

Pitching is stronger in baseball this year - I actually went through all the teams in ZiPs updates tonight and was amazed how much the game spits out real life batting averages - that are in the 250s and lower.

But the lack of consistency I am seeing in the sim engine is something we can't correct on this end.

Our rating values match up with last years which was near perfect. We have already bumped offensive numbers as well as a 10% drop on all pitching attributes.

I am off to bed - won't be back on til 8 or 9 tomorrow morning so if we can keep questions to a minimum then I can answer more swiftly tomorrow off my phone

For the changes that were made to players for V2, were most of them pretty small impact changes to ratings or were there any complete overhaul players (such as Puig and Abreu I'm assuming). Thanks!

Not saying I don't agree, but Susac already has a 64 in plate discipline, which is pretty good. He's a .253 career MiLB hitter that is currently playing in that hitter's paradise known as the PCL. I'd take his season stats to date with a large grain of salt.

It's a mix. Some are small, and some are big, and some are medium. Depends on the situation. There should be a little something for everyone who has posted their feedback in a constructive manner.
