Given that new information, I think the "File is corrupt" message you get come from the fact that your game is a MaiDump dump. Those dumps modify or patch original eboot.bin files from games. That could cause issues with game saves among others. My conclusion after all these attempts you made is that this is the main problem here.

Could you try to load the April 2017 roster -look at the first post in this thread- in your PS Vita? I do not expect it to work. Just to check.
Tried, yesterday and again today, same result unfortunately.

UPDATE: I didn’t use MAI to play the game, I installed the vpk through vita shell. IDK if that makes any difference.

        Yes! Thanks Lorak!

What helped me was opening a save, overwriting all of the files, I backed them up on save manager and transferred over the files using vitashell, restored in save manager and voila, it worked.

I also think people have to be aware of their ftp program, I was using one for my iPad and it wasn’t transferring over all of the files, so original files were bigger than the files transferred over, I’m sure the corruptions started there.

        Cheers friend!

          The steps I’ve done are:
          1. Open the game save roster in the second slot.
          2. Exit game and open save manager, backup to slot 2 (which is the third slot) NOTE: save manager tells me the save file directory is ux0:usr/00/savedata/pcsa00115 (I note this because I’m trying to be as comprehensive as I can)
          3. I exit save manager and go into vita shell where I transfer over your files to the roster 031 folder (I’ve tried in the data/savegames/psca00115/slot2/roster 031 as well as the save directory save manager tells me)
          4. Once files have been transferred over I go back into save manager and restore the slot 2.
          5. I open up the game and load the roster and corrupt.

Am I missing a step? Thanks for all your work on this and the madden files as well, you’re a boss!

EDIT: I'm on game version v1.00 *I don't know if that makes a difference
I get that we are supposed to save the "in-game" roster save to SLOT 2, but I also noticed you saved the BACKUP MANAGER file to slot 2 as well. I thought that the whole "SLOT 2" thing only applied to the "in game" save, NOT the Save Manager step as well. Was that intentional or you just randomly chose slot 2 in Save Manager? Maybe thats a step I totally missed

What do you mean when you say "opening a save, overwriting all of the files"
What files did you over write?

I have followed the steps EXACTLY how lorak has instructed. I even found a copy of MLB 14 and I even created the 4 roster saves lorak had and named them exactly how he has the on his 4 slots. I still get a corrupt file message.

I'm so desperate to make this work lol

Lorak, I keep getting File Corrupt. I have noticed that your DATA.BIN file is actually slightly smaller than the DATA.BIN file that I generate once I save my "in-game" roster. Would this make a difference or affect anything?

jnastasio mentioned that he opened his save and was able to overwrite his files. How is this possible? Did he open the .BIN file or something? I have followed your steps exactly how you mentioned.

I can get Madden roster files working flawlessly with Save Manager, but for some reason MLB is being sucha pain lol

              Thanks!

jnastasio was able to overwrite his files since I sent him my whole saves not only the roster update.

After digging a bit more trying to replicate the "File is corrupt" issue, I think that the main problem with all my roster updates is that I decided to take as a base the April 2017 roster. Not all of you have this file in your device. As you said, it is a slightly smaller file than the ones you could typically generate, somehow it could be related to this issue.

After some more tests that I want to do, I plan to release my roster updates again in the coming days now taking the stock roster as a base. Of course, all of us will be able to generate a save with the stock roster to be replaced with my updates. I expect that we can avoid the "Files is corrupt" message in this way.

First of all thank you for the reply back. I know we all feel the same way when I say you have done a tremendous job with these rosters. Thank you!

I think you are on to something with the file size discrepancy. When I created my saves, I even tried to create the same amount you had, and even named them the same thing. But then I noticed you have other files that I dont have, such as online profile and a franchise I think. I wondered if that might also be the cause.

Is there anyway I could get the files you sent to jnastasio so I can see if it works with mine?

                  Thanks again my friend!

File corrupt comes from your game not loading the mai dumped version of the game ... have to be dumped.... I switch between memory cards for Show and Madden and its a headache!!!!

Actually, it had nothing to do with not loading the mai dumped version of the game. Lorak was able to discover that the reason why the file was getting corrupt was because his save was based of the Apr 2017 roster and not the default game roster. I was able to load the roster successfully now. Also I am using a VPK version of the game

This also means that I am going to upload again all my roster updates having as a base the stock roster. The goal is to get rid of this annoying issue once and for all.

I have uploaded again all my roster updates, now based on the stock roster. Following our tests, this should be enough to get rid of the "File is corrupt" message. Links and guidelines are in the first post of this thread.

                            April 1994 Roster.

This is a roster that I got from the vault years ago. To load it, remember to first save the stock roster in game in the second slot, back it up in Vita Save Manager, replace your decrypted files inside ROSTER_031 with the files in the attachment, restore it in Vita Save Manager, done.

                            I hope you enjoy it!

                            Notes:
