I'm playing with a hybrid of these sliders and my own and getting some great games.

      Re: Imapotato's sliders

So what part of your sliders are you using and what part of mine?

I must say, I never use the Power Swing, so if you guys do...I would suggest

      Power - 9

The thing I saw with power on default is that the 15-20 Hr guys...became 10 HR guys

I have my contact at 0 and power at 5 (and I still have way too many hits...I went from C/P 10-10, to 5-10, to 0-10, and now to 0-5)...I did move the pitch count down as well as agressiveness, and after that a lot of our stuff is very similiar.

          Re: Imapotato's sliders

So odd that guys with 0 contact are having more hits then I am

Maybe, because of the new hit variety, a 0 contact lets ground balls and texas leaguers drop.

With my contact settings and the slightly higher reacyion and speed, I hit some line shots and hard grounders that are caught or gotten to.

But I also play on HOF mode, so I have to hit it on the nails...and sometimes I top and get under the ball

            Re: Imapotato's sliders

Just played a great game with your sliders and wanted to share. The only thing I changed was power, which I left at default for both the CPU and user. Detroit at Cleveland (me), here was the linescore:

            DET 5 11 1
            CLE 6 11 0

Definitely an interesting game... Sabathia was roughed up early for me, giving up 2 home runs in the 1st inning putting me down 0-3 early. I had to pull him early, but then my bulpen came up huge to keep me in the game. I chipped away at the lead and eventually took a 5-3 lead after a two run blast from Hafner. After chasing Rogers from the game their bullpen did a great job shutting me down. Detroit came back with 2 runs in the 7th to tie things up before Josh Barfield flashed some unexpected power in the bottom half with a solo shot for the 6-5 lead. My bullpen closed the deal and gave me a hard fought win.

Saw a good mix of hits, and each team drew 3 walks which was nice to see. The error they had was huge too, an errant throw trying to complete a double play which then led to my 2 run hr the next at bat. I'm doing a quick 14 game season to test these sliders out, so far so good... thanks for posting these!

I tried to move it to 10 and had 51 hits in 3 games...now I'm at about 8-12 per game, which is still high (I'd really like to be in the 6-10 range), but not bad.

                  Re: Imapotato's sliders

Ive been using these sliders for a little while, the only thing I changed was the Umpire Consistency from -3 to -1, I was getting too pissed off at umps making bad calls, more than 2-3 times a game. On Allstar I get an average of about 10 hits a game, so I think ill bump it up to HoF.

                    Re: Imapotato's sliders

Yea these are definetly HOF sliders with no guess pitch at all and no zones
Plus only if use contact swing 90% of the time

If you use power swing alot, you will get too many HRs with you HR hitters so you may want to put power doen to 7 or 8 for user but 11 for CPU will make you hesitate to pitch in the zone to a lot of players and you will see how different you pitch against the Yankees vs The Royals

I did the -3 for umpires because I like to swear at the TV and the fake umps.
Remember though...some umpires are tight zone, wide zone and normal zone

You could have had the Wide ump

I tweaked pitch speed down some (helps with pulling the ball)
                      Wind is upped

All Zones and Guess Pitch off

                        HOF MODE

Pitch Speed -4 (this REALLY helps with pulling the ball)

Pitch Count +2 (DO NOT go 20 like some did last year...there are pitchers that go into the 8th...and CG are still thrown, but you will not see that in this game with Pitch count at 20. Also with Aggressivness at -3, pitchers will nibble enough)

Umpire consistency -3 (so you can swear at the umps)
Wind up 7 (I like this feature and this doesn't give you Hurrican winds...it means the effect the wind will have on the ball...so check your wind at the start of the game..if blowing in, don't be afraid to pitch up inthe zone, if out...keep it low, I tried +10 to +8 but it seemed a bit too much)

                        SP fatigue -+1
RP fatigue- -2 (a nice rotation of relievers will come in...during Season/Franchise this effects next day performance, so you wont face the same reliever 3 days in a row, like you do in default)
Pitch movement -Default (if hitting isn't hard enough for you, I guess you can increase this...but breaks on pitches seem spot on)
Pitch control -3 (hanging breaking balls)
Wild Pitch -1 (just to be sure...I still see them but they are rare, so hey fixed this)

Contact -3 (helps with foul balls and hit variety)
Power +2 (modern day baseball is about the HR)
Plate Awareness +3 (This seems to help the HUM player foul off bad pitches that are K's and have the CPU throw more balls to your high disciplined rated players)

Errors 20 I have seen 5 in one game and 0 in another...so maxed gives a bigger variety then default to 18...all of which I tried. Of course they still don't call some errors that are obvious bobbles

Throw Strength +2 (To help the OF some, I still hit triples instead of doubles with any speedy guy at default and +1)
Throw accuracy -4 (a lot of nice animations with this lowered)

Fielder Speed +3 (Guess what cuts down your HITS?? This does! If you keep hitting well increase this and reaction by 1 until you start having a hard time getting seeing eye singles)

Passed Ball --Default works well with average C's and good C's based on their reaction attribute and blocking

Injuries 20...there are mucho injuries in baseball...yet the game still does not give enough so I lower pitchers durability by 40 clicks left position players by 25. Haven't seen one in game yet, but have seen a number of DL's full in Season mode...really helps your and the CPU minors see action

Pitcher aggressiveness -3 (They will nibble and not come at you unless they have had your number your 1st 2 ABs, this increases walks for your power guys anything less then -3...it was too easy for me to walk 6 times a game)

CPU base running aggressiveness -1 (they like to try for home too often at default and you can throw them out, but at -2 they are all smart base runners...and you want SOME mistakes)

Pickoff attempt -2 (at default this is a bit crazy...I am a realistic stealer so I don't want to be attempted pickoffed 3 times just with a one step leadoff..with an average speed player, this really was wacky in MOM at default)

Plate Discipline +2 (Nice to see a player chase a good slider out of the zone every once in a while, this works well with -4 contact and nice seeing a called strike 3 on the CPU on a regular basis)

Fielder Reaction +2 (if you have that lag issue...increase this until you get a good jump on the ball)

                        Base Stealing-+1
                        Steal Aggressiveness-+1

Manager Hook -3 (I have found right at 3...the manager might pull them in time or leave them in 1 or 2 batters too long, which is realistic...this gives the CPU some human element to it...at -4 they left them in waay too long, leading to 6 run innings sometimes at -2 I still had the why??? facotr of the CPU pulling pitchers)

Like I said...minor tweaks except for my opinion as it was last year that in Season/Franchise...fielders with 1.000 F% won Gold Gloves and you would hardly see any errors, even though a good fielding team averages .60 errors a game

and that Injuries are FREQUENT in MLB...look at how many players saw action for 1 team last year...many teams have 40 guys seeing some time during the year
great sliders.....are these meter or classic pitching?
