Oh hells yea iam able to pull the fastball, but I have to be ready for it and that is what I like. Some pitchers dont have a great difference is speed with thier pitches so I can be more sucessfull against them, but for someone who has a good deal of a speed difference in speed, Man its a thing of beauty playing that type of game not knowing if your going to win the battle or not.
Thats when trying to guess the right pitch becomes huge, sometimes i just go with instincts, but when a pitcher has great deceptive stuff, its not simple at all, and I only felt this with moving the pitch speed higher.

If i win the battle I feel great and when I lose I just tip my hat.

Other things I changed was fielding speed, throwing speed, pitch control, stamina, and some other simple things, but I didnt adjust every single slider. I just found that the main simple things needed some tweaking and im loving it.

I have the slider turned all the way down and the relievers still have just about full energy for every game.

The only thing I can think to do next is to change each pitchers individual stamina rating, you shouldn't be able to use the same reliever in every game.

Not sure about ps3 but on the ps2 it's a FATIGUE slider, not a stamina slider. Move it to the right to make guys tire more quickly. I have releavers set all the way to the right. Makes a difference.

dont forget that when u look at the relivers in the bullpen everybody will show up as 100% rested..its a glicth...but if you bring them in, u will see theyre tired.

I don't have that problem on my ps2. Is that glitch on the ps3?

Isn't for more fatigue you go right...for less left on the PS2?

I have mine at -2 for starters and +10 for relievers...and my starters can last 90-120 pitches depending on stamina and my relievers get fatigued quick

I still have to switch controllers when a LOOGY comes at me from the CPU...I go to bullpen, warm up a righty and then do a mound visit

Re: Two slider questions, one regarding human hits, one regarding reliever's stamina

brunnoce here is what I play with. Im only listing the sliders i adjusted, so for the ones I didnt adjusted I did not list them because they were left at default.

I made all my adjustment in the My Slider section of the game.

                      Player 1 Pitch speed +5
                      Player 2 Pitch speed +5
                      CPU Pitch speed +5

                      Player 1 Pitch Command +3
                      Player 2 Pitch Command +3

                      Player 1 Contact +2
Player 2 Contact +2 Put both back at deault once u get used to the pitch speed. I play at default right now.

                      Player 1 Power +1
                      Player 2 Power +1

                      Player 1 Throwning Strength -1
                      Player 2 Throwning Strength -1
                      CPU Throwning Strength -1

                      Player 1 Fielding Speed -3
                      Player 2 Fielding Speed -3

                      CPU Pick Off Freq. -5
                      CPU Batter Plate Discipline -2
                      CPU Fielding Reaction Time -5

Manager Hook +5 Still Messing with this one, SO far pretty good.

This is how I play the game. Just so u know.
I dont use any aids at all for hitting. I just hit with the X button and use the left anolog stick to put the appropiate swing. Doing this is huge for more realistic results. I never use the Power swing button, and No hitting features.
No strike zone nothing at all.

Here are just 2 box scores in 2 games I just played.

                      I won
                      Yankees 5-11-0
                      Deval Rays 2-6-0

I Lost and got 1 run on 3 hits in the 9th. Prior to that I only had 1 hit, and I only struck out 3 times, so I made alot of contact, but S. Traschel had me on Smash. Great game.

                      Orioles 5-14-0
                      Yankees 1-4-2

Check it out and Hopefully u will enjoy this great game.

                      Take care man.
