    Oh and another thing that I uncovered last night. I put the gamplay slider of Power to zero. In 3, 4 inning games, I hit 2 HRs with Ellsbury and 2 with Lugo. Very bizarre.

    I am convinced that the power slider needs to be at a setting of 5 or lower. Anything above this and it just looks like there are rockets all over the field. This is with hit quality at zero also. One time I hit a screamer up the middle with Youk, and the CF had his rocket pack on and got to the ball on a short hop and I looked at Youk running to first and he was only half way up the 1B line when the CF had the ball in his glove.

    Just seems like everything is at hyper speed. Throws, hits, and running. Everything needs to slow down. With default attributes and sliders, its almost like you dont have to do much in the field because most rocket hits are either right to you or by you. At least with the speed reduction, you have more control so to speak, and you need to take proper angles or pay the price of more extra bases. And the fact the CPU is diving after stuff in the gaps is cool to see and for the human player to do it too, is a lot of fun.

      I wish the guys who wrote the code for this game would just pop in and be like ok here is the fix for the walks and here is what to do about pitching ect. I mean if anyone would know it would be them. I know they would not want to admit that something is "wrong" with the game but the stats dont lie. I mean the stolen bases is so far beyond even close to real its not even funny.

      And with the stolen base thing its hard to tell how bad outa wack other stats are or are not.

      I mean with so many steals the rbi numbers go up.

      At least the stolen base problem is limited to a select group of players so we will prolly fix that.

      The worst thing has to be the pitching.

      I dont want to use the "s" word but i swear i feel like 2-3 at bats per game are scripted.

      what i mean is like when you have the cpu foul of a couple good pitches you are like oh here we go again another 15 pitch at bat!

      And i was up in the count 3-0 last night and ended up NO LIE with a 28 pitch at bat me swinging at all but 2 pitches. And of all the pitches i did swing at only 2 where balls and so close i really should have swung.

      You should never ever ever have a 28 pitch at bat where the pitcher falls behind 3-0 and then can throw 20 strikes outa the next 25 pitches

      Im sorry to rant in your thread I just feel like im losing my mind with these settings lol ima get some food and keep trying

        Why am I so determined to get the sim engine and played games in line? I feel like I'm playing NCAA Football all over. This game is a much better representation of it's sport however.

            I agree...I think. I played the other night and when pitching, had one cpu at bat where I threw 19 pitches...the guy just kept swinging and fouling off everything I threw. I ran out of time a few innings later and exited the game.

            A few hours later I played again with different teams and the same exact thing happened...one cpu batter fouled off about 15 pitches. It was funny...as it was happening I said to my son..."watch this...a foul ball is coming". Sure enough it happened.

            This game is so darn good....but some very strange things going on. I do hope they can tone down the fielder speeds and hit quality. Too many lasers...balls get to fielders way too fast 80% of the time.

            Again, they are SO close...and it certainly appears that our complaints could be fixed with a patch for player attributes and/or slider effectiveness. I have no doubt Kolbe and friends will step up to the plate on this.

              No doubt they can fix this. And i think with how badly they blew the 2k game out of the water they would want to fix this problem to keep their customers playing and convincing possible 2k buyers changing their minds (i have converted 6 of my friends)

              If you want annoying start a RTTS with a pitcher and have one of those 30 pitch at bats. Makes it extremely hard to get deep into a game when your Fatigue and Stamina is already low to begin with.

                Hey guys,

                Thanks for your hard work getting these sliders and roster sets together. I've been using this combination for the past 10 games or so and for the most part have had good results. It definitely increases the amount of extra base hits and lowers the amount of steals (in games that you play not sim). My concern is that the lack of speed is making for very few close plays at first on infield hits. When there is a ground ball to the infield or a bunt, I have yet to see one of my players make it. I am thinking that the lowering of speed has affected the play on the infield.

                Am I right that the outfielders arms were lowered but not the infielders? If so, this might cause this problem.

                  Yes you are right. I use edited rosters that are similar to JT30's. I lowered each outfielders arm strength attribute -20, and infielders I lowered -30. Overall speed is -40 in my roster. I still think that infielders arm strength could be lowered by another 20-30 clicks on top of the -30 I have been playing with. Not sure if any of that made sense lol.

                    Does anyone have any thoughts on how to remedy the fielder speed issue during RTTS? I'm having a hell of a time getting hits in situations where they should easily fall in for singles and/or doubles in the gaps/lines. About the only way I can get a hit is to rip one through the infield.

                    It definitely adds a level of frustration to an otherwise incredible mode.
