Lack of CPU Hitting

I am having problems with the lack of CPU hitting. It seemed like last year I was afraid to even throw a hitters-pitch fearing it would be jacked... this year I can just about throw a fast ball down the middle every time and the batter will pop out, ground out or strikeout.... once in a while they get doubles...

Are there any good sliders that will make the CPU hit the ball? I have CPU power set at +4, and hit quality maxed out; playing on hall of fame.... any help will be appreciated...

I know what you mean.. I have done the same thing. The computer doesn't punish balls in the middle of the plate unless you seriously jack up all the hitting sliders... even then at times they don't do much. I have had games with everything maxed out and thrown batting practice and still won games..

I'm playing on All-Star with the sliders I have posted below in my link and the CPU is putting up big #'s against me. I'm using classic pitching from the pitcher view and turning the ball pitch marker completely off. With it off, it's tougher to hit the plate with pitches. Feel free to give them a whirl.

32, about a 1/2 hour south of State College, PA, just 5 miles from Lake Raystown Resort if you've ever heard of it. GO PENN STATE!!!

PS, here's one you'll love Raidersfan, I'm a Broncos fan!!! LOL!!

Yeah, the Raiders should be decent here in a couple years. They are going in the right direction. Not sure I can say the same for my Broncs...I love Shanny, but it may be his last year if they don't make the playoffs this year.

I am a transplanted New Yorker living in Denver. Been here from 2003. Im a die hard Jets fan but being here so long the Broncos have rubbed off on me..Im still a die hard jets fan but have been rooting for the Broncos as well as the Jets for the last couple of years. I dont hate the Raiders but I hear a lot of people talking about how much they cant stand them. I can relate since Im a Yankees fan and cant stand the Sox..You can guess who I was rooting for in the World Series last year

BTW..i use Skboxers All Star slider set and have been getting my @ss handed to me in a few games as well.

I am now playing on all-star and I upped the CPU power to the max, and I gave up 7 homeruns to the Cardinals with the Rockies... I might have to lower power a bit, but this is promising. At least now I am afraid to throw good pitches. 7 homeruns isn't unheard of either; Glaus (2) Duncan (2) Pujols (1) Ludwick (1) Ankiel (1)..... btw, I lost 14-1!

Other than HRs, how many doubles/triples were there in the game by cpu?

I have played 2 games in the season, and I've given up maybe 3 doubles, but like 12 homeruns... I'm gonna put power down a notch or 2 after the series... maybe there'll be more doubles with less power... I'm still having more fun with the game now that each pitch poses a threat...

I agree that the cpu hitting is fairly poor in this game. If my hitting didn't suck so bad it would be a bigger problem!
