I have CPU power at +8 and it makes it tought to throw a good pitch in fear of the other team hitting the long ball.... I am really enjoying this game now that the CPU is hitting....

Re: Lack of CPU Hitting
I'm not seeing any lack of CPU hitting.
I use skyboxers sliders, classic pitching and give up as many hits as I get.
Every game I've played with these sliders has been competitive. I had a 4-0 lead in one game using the Rays. Brought in Percival for the 9th and he promptly gave up 3 runs on 4 straight hits, 2 of which were hard hit doubles. One ripped down the 3B line and the other in the gap in left center.
Final was 4-3. I had 8 hits, including a 2 run HR by Crawford in the top of the 9th and the CPU had 13. 2 were cheap though as I tried turning a double play and my throw to 2nd was late. Middle infielders need to throw a little harder in that situation.Comment

Re: Lack of CPU Hitting
Playing with the Rays is a different proposition all together... I have a franchise going with the Mets on default HOF (started after reading the devs' threads, going to give it 20 games or so) where I can't give a run away, and one with the Rays where I haven't won one yet, also on default HOF, with the CPU putting up anywhere from 5-7 a game. The Rays franchise has definitely been more fun.Comment

Re: Lack of CPU Hitting
I've been playing on HOF on default and with sliders helping cpu batting. Either way they don't put up enough offense to make the game competitive and realistic. I did a fairly easy attribute edit on all of my pitchers that has helped a great deal. I moved each of their Hit/9innings attributes down twenty clicks. The game plays great now.Comment
