I dont have a problem drawing walks at all. You need to be patient. I usually take the first pitch every at bat and work the count.

I wouldnt touch anything, but if you are having a hard time making contact and don't want to strike out as much, you can change either

Pitch Speed or Plate Vision

First I would try pitch speed at -3 or -5 rather than +3. You might be able to read pitches better and it will help you lay off pitches outside the zone.

You can also adjust Plate Vision as -5 or -3, rather than -7.


Last game I played Ben Sheets struck me out at 9 times and I drew 3 walks.

Oh I also play with all hitting and pitching aids OFF, including pitch confidence meters. I also use classic pitching.

I tested the pitch confidence meter off and noticed the meters still work, but they aren't visible. The reason why I know this is because if you use the pitching meter rather than classic, the "sweet spot" on the meter still changes based on pitch type and confidence in that particular pitch, i.e no sweet spot for low confidence pitches and a wider sweet spot for high confidence pitches. And for some reason I notice the CPU hits me a lot better when the confidence meters are off.

Walks, yes. I like. I will try -5 as you mentioned above. I'm in the middle of game 2 with -3 and i'm getting killed 10-2. Florida has 16 hits already to my 5. I quit. I'll go on to -5 now. :wink:
