Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
ive seen a few high "no man's land" balls that have landed. i dont really pay attention to those details much as most i just really enjoy the game. like i said im getting a bunch of different games. i just had one that was 11-10 with 7 combined home runs hit between Tampa and myself last night. right now im in the middle well in the third inning of the series finale and it is 4-0 me so as you can clearly see you can have a great deal of games from day to day and game to game. im enjoying them. ive had several times where thanks to my futton my controller has been flung across the the room at it."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
your not the only one and i use guess pitch so i still get a great many op field hits more so it seems than pull hits. i have played a fried of mine on line for a couple innings who was pulling everythng down the line over and over again... i think we lose not only hand eye as we get older but more importantly depth perception... cause i knwo that im totally surprised when i pull one down the line."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
I glad these helped someone! I made them hoping to draw more walks, but it didnt work so I kinda gave up on them. I'm not sure which version it is but one of them has CPU pitch control maxed; which is where I had some pretty realistic stats (minus walks).
I am actually using a similar set but with pitch speed/aggression/strike % at -10 and am drawing a fair amount of walks (185 over 50 games...3.7 avg). I can post them on sportsconnect when I get a chance if anyone is interested. I havnt really tested the CPU hitting though (as I usually just sim pitching) but for human batting they work like a charm. Just make sure Guess Pitch is OFF.

Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
oh thank you sooo much for creating these, i was hoping one day to find the person that did create them and thankt themn deeply. im getting all sorts of games massive offense from both teams, pitchers duels and everything in bretween... not losing a great deal but not winning every game either... getting a decent enough wins and loses... ive been using your V2 sliders since the 15th and ive played about ten games with them... all star is for me a much better level than hof was and im happy to have found a slider set that seems to have made it just hard enought not to kill the computer."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
I just played 3 games with these and they're great. Only thing I don't like though is that my offense is lacking with good offensive teams. Any suggestions. The thing is that I'm getting 7-9 hits but only like 1-2 runs. Maybe it's just a cold streak in the game but this is beginning to be a problem. I've also had no homeruns yet.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
could be cause i just came off a series in which i score 10-10-10 and i play with the A's. the only thing i can suggest is that if your not a patient hitter to maybe use guess pitch stick with one pitch, and one zone all game ever game. oh i was watching a re run of the tonight show and david wright was on and he said.. that on his 100th home run earlier this year... "it was a 3-2 fastball" dave asked... "did you guess or...." and Wright said... "i geussed" so for those of you that say that the Guess pitch feature is cheating... tell that to a major league hitter who look in zones and try to out think the pitcher by GUESSING... sorry had to get that off my chest lol"Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
I just had my first mishap with these as well. I scored 18 runs on 32 hits in my last game against Tampa Bay. I guess it's back to the drawing board again.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: Anyone else using "old mans sliders"?
i have the easist fix of alll... do i as do
1. use guess pitch
2. select 4-seam fastball
3. select low center zone.
dont diviate...
i think the reason most of you always eperience high offseve out puts is that you all swing at balls UP in the zone... dont do it..(unless you have 2 strikes on you) your offense will go down by doiing tis... at least it should or im just really ****ty at this game lol"Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment
