I am replaying the exact same game, Mets vs Braves (same pitching matchup) but using your exact slider set Nem (CPU Power +2) and this time they have scored some runs and are hitting a little bit better. I am losing 3-0 halfway through. Hope this keeps up.

One other thing I noticed was J. Maine laid down a sac bunt (1st base side) and the pitcher took a couple of quick steps to the ball and basically stopped for a split second before continuing on and throwing to first. Anyway the throw was late and J. Maine (who is very slow) beat it out for a hit.

Was the hesitation because CPU fielder speed is now at -10?

You have to remember your games are going to be dynamic. Sometimes you will shut the cpu down and sometimes you will get shut down.

As far as the bunt situation, the fielder reaction speed gives them a late jump. It slows them down on the front end not when they are at the ball. That sounds like a glitch that happened.

Re: What sliders to use for PSP? Will all the ones here work?

Well I have started my season with your exact slider set Nem and I am 4-2 with the Mets (after playing the Nats and Marlins 3 games each) and all but one of the games were close and competitive.

So far a couple of things I noticed:

        1) Game seems more varied, couple of throws up the line, couple of bobbled balls, a few different types of base hits like bloopers. (Good job on opening things up a little more)

        2) Santana 16K's in 2 games. (Seems about right)

        3) I have a much lower and more realistic average than before. (Also turning guess pitch off makes it harder and more realistic) And my power numbers are just about where I think they should be. Beltran has (3 HR) Alou (1 HR) Delgado (1 HR) (So 5 HR in 6 games seems good to me)

        4) This is the one I am still a little concerned with. In 6 games my opponent still seems to only be scoring in a couple of the innings of the game. Seems like I can still shut them down easily most of the time. And so far they only have 1 HR against me in 6 games. Wish they were doing a bit better offensively.

What's your oppinion of bumping up there Power # above +2? Would that throw other things out of whack? Should I just give it some more time and see how the trend goes against better teams?

Increase the contact up to -1 and bring the power to +3. You should see some cpu output.

Re: What sliders to use for PSP? Will all the ones here work?

Well Nem just played my first game with CPU Contact -1 and CPU Power +3 and so far that was best I have seen the CPU. Granted it was just one game but box score:

              Padres 4/11/0
              Mets (Me) 5/12/0

No homers for them but a bunch of hits & threats, and the Brewers have a crappy offense to begin with, so I look forward to more games like that.

My team batting average now is .324 (1st in league) the 2nd ranked team is .311. Anything I could do to lower that a little more or do you think it is ok? My power numbers are still around where they should be (even have a good amount of doubles) but would lowering User Contact to -9 or -10 make any more of a difference in average?

              Thanks again.

              2nd game:
              Padres 3/12/0
              Mets (Me) 8/16/0

Seems like days when I am struggling at the plate with only 4 or 5 hits in the 6th or 7th inning I still easily finish up in double digits. Team average now after about 15 games is .331 That's way too high.

I am enjoying these sliders a bunch. Gives the game a great feel. Have seen a few errors from the CPU I have not seen to date.
I have playing with the SF Giants 162 game season and am only playing Lincecums starts.
I have been racking up big time pitch counts.
Game one - Learning Curve 108 pitchs lasting only 5 innings, 5 walks
game two - 86 pitchs lasting only 5 innings, 4 walks.
                game three - 110 pitchs lasting 7 innings, 3 hits 1 walk
                game 4 - 96 pitchs lasting 6 1/3. 5 runs given up and 3 walks

                Great stuff

Nem, any idea what I can do to lower my average a little more? Lower hit quality? Vision? Timing?

Re: What sliders to use for PSP? Will all the ones here work?

yeah ive just started a season 7 games in....... these sliders seem pretty good!!!!

cpu fielding sliders keep picking me off at the plate from a guy running in from second...so its good that that is harder.....

averages at mo are 300- 400 so still a little high but only just started as i said so hopefully come down.....so i have turned off guess pitch which has made it harder...however i have still hit the right number of HRs which is good

i have turned off pitch indicator which makes it more challenging when pitching, as someone else said ....its more realistic that your aiming for an area of the plate and not a specific location....this brings in giving away more walks....which deffo did not happen before where u could put the ball on a specific point.

let u know how it goes.... but certainly makes it more realistic in terms of loosing games and fighting to win them! any other tips chaps greatly recieved....

It doesn't seem like Classic pitching is the same on the PSP. On the PS3 it's hard as h*ll to control the ball, but on the PSP w/ Classic if feels no different than meter. Has anyone else noticed this????

Wonder if these sliders would work well for the PS2?
