Ya, calling sliders "final" one week after the game's release is .... odd to say the least.

If ya play the game often enough, over time you will get better and will need to make adjustments to sliders even for your own personal use, let alone trying to come up with sliders that "work" for multiple people.

Awesome, its exciting to know that others can enjoy a TRUE sim style baseball game like I am. Glad to see there are ppl like me who strive for that. Trying to find the game i can play for years, not get bored, and stil play after mlb 10,11,12 are out. I think i was able to make nba 2k9 that type of gm with sliders too!

Just another reminder topcop, play with auto fieding and baseunning. much more enjoyable. also, ALWAYS use API and pitch what catcher calls out, locaton and pitch type. I NEVER use power swing either, so keep that in mind as u use classic 1/4.

Trin I hv try all different sliders types, and I hv to say these play really well. I hv Angel Fran. tried your sliders 1st time,played Sea finally score 3-1 Angels 8-5 hits, Weaver got in trouble in the 5th, bases loaded 1 out, and he somehow dances out of trouble. These play really nice. Hop

I was concerned when I struck out the side the first inning of the first game but then I didn't strike out another batter until the 5th inning.

These are great, won my first two games 8-7 and 7-4. I like that I don't feel like I have to go up and start swinging right away, I can wait for a mistake.

dude, just to clarify the hitting sliders for the cpu, it's -5 ( all the way to left ) for most of the hitting, right? i was wondering how the heck could you get a competitive game out of that?

Yeah, -5 means all the way to the left. Somehow it works, I think it has to do with control being at -5.

Man, I have a hard enough time pitching on default so not sure about moving the control and consistency slider down to 0, although I guess it compensates for CPU hitting all being at 0.

Do you guys see a lot of wild pitches and passed balls?

I'm thinking auto fielding is the way to go for me as I hate missing balls I should catch because the A.I. selects the wrong player in the outfield.

i thought he same as you for a minute but playing with these settings, it's not that bad. i haven't really seen an overbundance of passed balls or wild pitches.
overall, it's actually pretty good. just enjoy it.

My SP walked 5 last night, I had to pull him after 5 innings despite only allowing 2 runs. That's a first! I won in extra innings, 4-3. I still haven't lost after 4 games, I'm a little concerned by that but we shall see. (I only play the first game of a series, then simulate the others).
