I would recommend leaving it at +1... If you move it to +2 you are going to find too many close plays at 1st with slow runners and you wont be able to turn double plays at all with moderately fast - fast runners.

Trinity, I would also recommend bumping up fouls for both User and CPU to +1 (6). Reducing fouls will reduce pitch counts... I know some people don't have the patience for it but foul balls will help cut down on relievers throwing to too many batters.

I've been playing with your slider set with User/CPU fouls at +1 and I've been seeing tons of realistic pitch counts for starting and relief pitchers. I pitched a 8 1/3 inning - 119 pitching gem with Brandon Webb against the Minnesota Twins... good pitcher/batter battles.

    BTW... GREAT slider set.

119 in 8.1ip? is that realistic? i figured 105-115 for a CG. im no baseball buff tho lolo... thanks for the suggestion, it does make sense! problem is that i swing at too many outside zone, so cpu pitch count is always lower than mine throughout the gm. im still learning patience! thanks again, will try them both at +1(6) then.

Yeah, that's a pretty realistic number...

Weeby was pitching in the 9th, put the first batter out with a sinker that resulted in a ground out. Walked the next batter on four straight balls, and could tell he was losing it... I was up by two, so I put in Chad Qualls who got the save!

I've been getting a great mix of games with these sliders... blow outs by and against me... pitcher's duels... everything.

ok cool, well i bumped them both up to +1. hard to tell if its makming a difference, but i'll stick with it anyway. really hard to tell when my starter Pavano is pulled after 3.2ip giving up 7 hits and 5 runs lol. bottom of the fifth i had 1 hit gin in, and with 2 outs, Edwin Jackson of detroit walked 2 straight batters, then on a 2-2 count to Sizemore, HR to right center to make it now 5-3 ballgame. Great mixture of gms, havent seen any gms that were of the same type of game yet.

I just played my first game with these. Eaton(me) went 7 innings gave up 5 runs. Howell went 4.1 gave up 4 runs and got pulled in the 4th. There was a total of 6HRs in the game. Which seemed like a lot. But some might have just been really bad pitches on my part.

I gotta play some more games with these. They do seem pretty good though.

knick9mm... do u use classic pitching? that will help im sure. meter pitching is timing. on classic, well this is what i do, i always use the API and i just tap x and see what happens. pitchers play to their ratings this way making it more realistic. Also, do u use api? always throw to where catcher suggests, and what pitch to throw. that should help, most HRs ive seen in one gm was 4 personally and that was one time.

Well i couldnt come back, lost 5-4... Zumaya was tough in the eend. blew a 99mph fastball by me. had a great ab with sizemore in the 9th tho, 11 pitch ab b4 i walked. was able to get him to second, but v. martinez grounds out weakly to end game btw=... another injury during the game! brandon inge this time for the ai, but still. thats 3 injuries ive seen in only 13gms ive played(not simmed). going to lower injuries down to -2.

Trinity -- I'd like to go with classic pitching as well. You say you just tap x. Doesn't the pitcher change speeds depending on how long you hold x down?
Quit making your stupid YouTube videos and start playing the game.

Re: Trinity's updated veteran game settings/sliders Version x!

i tried holding it down, doesnt seem to matter. i have hard time knowing when to release it, thats why i just tap x only. the speeds still vary on fastballs so... and if u use api, all pitches are used with different locations. i dont know how exactly the classic pitching is supposed to work so i just tap it, does just fine for me. get realistic amount of walks vs k's. especially will pitcher control set at -5.

I must say i did move pitcher consistentcy up 1 for both cpu and human. making it now -1(4). seeing too many beaned batters and passed balls. if it keeps persisting i'll go back to default. no one has to change what i do tho, create ur own slider set, just use these as a good base start. just wnna let ppl know what im seeing and changing. Im soo close to the "perfect" set now. i think the only one i have to figure out is where to put the injury slider at. have it at -2 now. other than that, all other sliders wont be touched again. if u guys see anything, and change something lemme know, feedback is helpful! thanks...

Ok, I'd like to know how you all are getting great low-scoring games......here are my results thus far, after 6 games in Spring Training, using Trinity's sliders:
                          I'm playing as Cleveland...

                          All 6 are losses:
                          8-2, 10-3,9-3,7-4,(closest one yet),8-0, and 11-3.
Which is a combined score of 52-15!

I've only managed singles, a triple, and two homeruns. Most of the scoring was sacrifice flies, errors, etc. The other teams? They're lighting me up like a Christmas tree.Freaking Kansas City hit TWO three-run bombs off me!!! (That was the 11-3 score)

                          I know, I know----"give it time".,
Well, unless I sim, looks like I'll be going 0-162 this season!

I follow Trinity's advice, and always pitch what I'm told, even if it seems ridiculous.(At one point, Martinez the catcher had me throw SIX fastballs in a row! Doesn't seem right at all...)

Anywho, any ideas what's going on!?

If anything else, I'll probably go back to default sliders, and Rookie mode.
It's getting to be frustrating. Maybe I just s*ck out loud......

ya, dont go back to default. and besides thats spring training! play reg season gms against real lineups, and with ur actual lineup playing. it is frustrating, but realistic. for example, i play with cleveland too btw, and first start of season for anthony reyes was a gem. 1-0 final score i won against detroit. second gm im playing now and hes starting against white sox... heres his line.. 5ip 11h 7er 1bb 1k.. very frustrating game. Im down 7-0, Gavin is dominating thru 4ip only allowing 3h and 4k's.

just use the sliders as a base setup and tweak for ur own liking. Right now Im 12-8 in gms played(simm most), so thats pretty realistic for the indians imo.
