    Delo2beatu's 09' HOF Sliders

Alright, it seems like more and more people are coming up with slider sets so I want to come out with mine. If I find a set that works better than mine I will give credit to those people that do and tell other people to use them. As of now I believe mine are the best, most realistic, and challenging. It is not impossible to win with my set but if you don't put 100% effort I believe the CPU will take advantage of your mistakes. Please use my exact settings when trying my set. And as always please leave feedback. Thanks and enjoy the games!

Following sliders are in no way a final set and will be revised following feedback from others and patches released by Sony:

    Here we go....

      Re: Delo2beatu's 09' HOF Sliders

2 games ago I played the astros at minute maid and got crushed 11-4.. All was going well until Lee hit a granny!

My last game's box score looked like this

      COL 4 8 2
      ARI 3 7 1

It was Webb v Cook. I was using COL and Cook was pitching well until I subed him for a pinch hitter in the 8th and brought in Corpas to pitch the bottom 8th. He let up 2 home runs to make it 4-3.. I used Street to close it out in the 9th and right away he gives up a double to Upton, walked the next guy (don't remember who it was and I didn't walk him on purpose) Then I struck out the next batter. (1 out, 2 on, bottom 9 at chase field) They then brought in Tony Clark to pinch hit and I struck him out amazingly because strikeouts are not easy to come by on my settings and sliders but they do happen. Ok now I got 2 down and 2 out... Next guy (again can't remember who) takes it to a 2-2 count and I throw him a heater down in the zone and he smokes it to atkins @ 3rd who picks it up and tags the runner going to third... Now thats a game!!!! Try my sliders!!!

Try and keep track of how many errors the cpu is charged with and how many your team commits. I feel the slider is broken in this area and I'm curious as to what you will see, particularly if you start raising the fielding error slider.

I've played a few games with these sliders and love them. Good job, let us know if you update any settings.

Wow, I would think that with the increased bat speed in 09 that you wouldn't have to decrease pitcher speed. I am able to lay back on pitches unlike the last few years which has resulted in fewer strikeouts by my hitters. Has anyone else experienced this as well?

            Thanks,

              Re: Delo2beatu's 09' HOF Sliders

Pitch speed is kind of a personal preference. All I ask is that you use my settings when trying my sliders. I always have decreased pitch speed by the max each year. For me it doesn't make the game any easier it is just what I am comfortable with. Each individual player needs to determine where they are comfortable with pitch speed. I believe that is the first thing each player should do. Anyways i'm glad some people are trying my sliders and seem to be enjoying them. I want to extend an invitation to all 09' PS3 players to help me with my slider set (Please only All-star, or HOF levels). I am not one to enjoy all credit and would like other players to help me perfect my set in time with Knights rosters release so we can all enjoy a fun, challenging, and most importantly realistic franchise.(End of April so we got time)

Here is what I am sold on so far with my sliders:

1.) All pitching sliders (both cpu and human) -4
              2.) Fielder speed at -1
              3.) Wind at +1
              4.) CPU hitting (default)
              5.) Human power (default)
What I would like is for people to give me feedback on what they think of reaction, injury, errors and pitcher confidence.

I am currently working on lowering human hitting sliders.

I appriciate feedback from rudy and I have been working diligently testing his theory. I think what he is noticing with balls not being caught by fielders has something to do with reaction more than error sliders. More testing is needed and with help from you guys we can create some great sliders.

              Thanks again!

I've been using your sliders on hof and think they are great. I've had very realistic games. The only change I really have made is right now I've got pitch speed up at usually 3, but I've only played a handful of games so far so that is a work in progress. Just a couple quick questions if you don't mind.

I wish I had the game on right now and a hip that wasn't broken so I could get up and turn it on, but its either in options, global, cpu or player sliders. There is some type of thing with diving and jumping and what looks like a slider meter. What do you have that at?

Second you said all pitching sliders at -4. I'm assuming you aren't including starter and reliever stamina in that too and you're still using the default for starter and -1 for relievers, but just want to make sure ? Thanks

I remembered one other problem I've had. I've been getting a ton of pass balls on 3rd strikes with balls in the dirt. Half the time the guy usually even makes it to first. I'm not really sure if there is a slider I could increase or decrease to help that. Other then that though...very good

Firstly no these are not currently on sportsconnect. I wanna get closer to a final version before I put them up ( this may take some time so be patient).

MSS: I don't know what the jumping/diving slider your talking about is. I'll be out of town for a few days for spring break but i'll check it out later. You are correct with your second question about pitchers, its only the consistency, strike %, and control sliders at -4, reliever -1 and starter default ( both human and CPU).
When your saying your getting a lot of dropped third strike calls with runners advancing to first I also see in my games but not too often. If this is while your on the mound I would say you need pitch a bit higher and better. If the CPU is throwing a lot of them and you are reaching on them it is a bit of a concern and can be fixed I believe by the control slider maybe notching it up one. Please remember that this does happen with some regularity in baseball games. Get back to me on exactly how much this is happening and how often the batter is advancing to first. Also let me know if you or the CPU is pitching when this is happening. Thanks

                          Re: Delo2beatu's 09' HOF Sliders

I recently checked out some other sets of sliders and I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Some of their sliders is what I believe way outta wack. Heres some of my sliders I think are perfect and reasons why:

CPU hitting: Default ( CPU hits very well in the game on both All-Star and HOF)
Pickoffs +1 ( so the CPU will throw over more and you just can't keep leading or you WILL get picked off)
                          Pitcher control, consistency, and strike %: -4 ( so you can get walks for yourself and walk people while your on the mound. Also to get pitch counts higher { avg in baseball is over 60 for 4 innings}
Fielder arm strength: -2 ( on default arm is too strong, at -2 you can still throw people out at home from the outfield)
Baserunning speed: -1 ( cuts down on CPU hitting too many triples but they still happen, doubles for human are much closer)
My setting: I'm sold on my settings!! Please use them with my camera angles for true baseball experience.

Thanks

Sorry it's called the controller fielding control with a slider scale to adjust it, and the controller sliding control with a control sliding sensitivity scale/slider under it. This is in the regular screen (and not any modes) under gameplay and player 1

Hey man, just bought the game with your sliders and had a really fun game. First game of my franchise me cleveland vs cpu rangers. Kevin Milwood fooled me all game my timing was terrible!! I had 17 strikeouts for my entire team! It was bad. It was 0-0 until the Rangers took the lead 1-0 with a base hit by Young. I got a one out hit in the 9th by Garko, advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch and choo hit a 2 run homerun 2 give me the win 2-1.
