I had a question, Psycho. But if anyone has had this problem, let me know.

I'm 6 games into my franchise, and my team does not really have alot of power but I've only had 1 homer. Maybe it is the way your sliders might work, I was just curious.

If not, do you have any recommendations? Usually I am sometimes either, late, just early, just late and perfect on my timing. It mixes up alot.

I have played 30 games in my franchise with Boston, currently in second place with a record of 16(W) - 14(L)

I orginally had to modify a couple sliders, as I got better I have ended up back at the original sliders and they are playing AMAZING!!

        Here are some stats:

        Ellsbury .276 1HR 7RBI 10Steals
        Pedroia .280 3HR 15RBI (Currently out 1-2 months with a foot injury)
        Ortiz .200 10HR 19RBI
        Youkilis .324 8HR 21RBI
        Drew .322 3HR 7RBI
        Bay .270 10HR 19RBI
        Lowell .231 3HR 12RBI
        Varitek .253 2HR 13RBI
        Lowrie .238 0HR 4RBI
        Lugo .133 0HR 2RBI (Only played 8 games)
        Baldelli .310 1HR 3RBI
        Green .143 0HR 1RBI
        Bailey .308 1HR 4RBI
        Kottaras .273 0HR 2RBI

Pitching (All Starters have made 6 starts)
        Beckett 3-1 2.72era 40 K's

Thanks TNKNGM, excellent looking stats and very similar to mine, ive now played 36 games (22-14 with Detroit) and everything is looking spot on.

I see no reason for anymore tweaks at all now, these sliders are giving me everything i want, play well and i can win, play poorly and i can lose.

              Psy,

Great sliders, but I'm seeing mostly 8-7 games with about 25 total hits...

Because I'm playing with the Giants, I shouldn't be hitting this well or pitching this poorly...

I'm thinking that taking another click down on both sides contact might get the games BA down and lead to fewer runs...

Or do you think a simialr reduction on both sides solid hits is a better option?

              Thoughts?

              Thanks again!

Are you getting too many hits in general for average or too many power hits i.e. doub/trip/HR?

Now that you mention it, I am getting a slightly more than average amount of extra base hits (as well as singles)...

Would dropping power to default perhaps be the best solution?

                  Thanks for your input...

I'm also always getting too many hits. Mostly singles. Is dropping user contact the way to go ?

I'm going to start using these on my Franchise (I'm 40-34 with the Cubs). So I'll post the stats after my next game later tonight.
Chicago Cubs - Chicago Bears - Milwaukee Bucks

King, drop your power and contact both 1, give it say 10/15 games (more are really needed) and see how you go, let me know.

packman, yes, drop your contact 1.

mjh, great, let me know how you find them but please, NOT after one game, absolutely no conclusions can be drawn from that.

Play 20/30 then come back to me

Tried your sliders this morning, Psych, and for the most part, pretty good. Especially like the way they make the fielding and throwing work now. Very realistic.

Some problems with the CPU batting though. I'm the Jays in my Franchise and I had Brian Tallet go up against the Indians...and proceeded to strike out 10 batters, giving up only 2 hits over seven innings. On top of that, using API, my strike to ball ratio was almost 3-1. It's my only gripe so far.

So my question is, where do I go from here? For the inept CPU batting, do I put the timing back up to 5? Contact up 1, to 4? Both? And for the pitching, should I drop either or both of Pitcher Control and Pitcher Consistency back to down to default 5?

Typically, I'd agree with you..but Brian Tallet is not going to strike out 10 batters against anybody. The CPU batters just seemed off all game. Completely off balance and again, Brian Tallet pitches to contact and not to strike guys out and keep them off balance like he did in the game I played.

I was going to play another one anyways, but I'm anticipating running into the same problems. Possible Roy Halladay no hitter coming up lol.
