Hey Psycho, do you think manager hook could be to high? I was losing 8-0 in the 6th inning, I got back to back singles to put runners at 1st and 3rd and Charlie Manuel comes out of the dugout and pulls Hamels from the game. His pitch count wasn't that high either.

What are you finding out as you play this game? Is this a rarity or do they pull pitchers as soon as they get in some trouble?

Same thing happened in my last game. Lackey was pulled working a shut-out (6.1 innings). My first reaction was that was a smart move, pull the starter when your up 7-0 and save his stamina for his next start. I thought the CPU made a good move there. I will make sure i do the same when the i am in that situation.

I'm loving these sliders. Played an exhibition game between Oakland and Pittsburgh today. For the first half of the game, I wasn't doing anything against Maholm and the announcers were basically calling me a puss, but in the 6th, my hitters started coming to life. By the end of the extra innings game, I had hit 5 home runs and won 5-4. Up to now, I had been playing on Veteran level with default slider settings. Today's game was much more realistic and I'm looking forward to many more. This is a fantastic game.

I don't know if this has to do with anything or not but when I was using these before i had pitcher confidence on and I was able to shut down the CPU fairly easily, it wasn't a challenge at all. This time I decided to turn it off and what a series I had with Philly. Every pitch had me on the edge of my seat, especially in my last game. Here are the box scores if you're interested.

Game 1

Philly - 8 8 0
Atl - 1 9 2

Game 2

Philly - 8 10 0
Atl - 1 3 1

Game 3

Atl - 6 14 0
Philly - 5 6 0

I know it's only three games but these are things I want to see. I want the games to be challenging and when I win I want it to feel like I accomplished something.

So the feel of these games were great, now I'd like to see some lower scoring games as I go along.

A patch needs to be released to address some issues.

Pitcher confidence- Even with this set off in the options it does indeed stay on. Proof of this is when the cpu walks someone the coach comes out to boost his confidence EVERY TIME! Tone this BS down!

CPU comeback- The CPU comeback is on nomatter if you turn the option on or off. No matter where you pitch or what you do they WILL score BS runs after you take a lead

CPU pitcher control- My number one beef with this game. EVERY pitcher either pitches to the corners or extremely low over and over! NO MLB PITCHER HAS CONTROL LIKE THIS!!! ITS JUST PLAIN ******** AND IS REUINING THIS GAME! The only thing you can really do is tune cpu piching to 0 and then all you get are hit batters and passed balls ( GO BACK TO 08' PITCHING SONY!)

Fix all these stupid glitches. i.e. color changing managers, all cub games being at night, announcer mistakes and so on...

I know theres gonna be a patch and I hope it fixes these annoying drawbacks because the game is fundamentally great, just some tuning is needed

Take a look at the box scores I just posted to start my season. Two blowouts followed by a one run win.

I was down 3-1 in the ninth and came back to tie it up and a Brandon Wood HR in the 11th won it for me

Finally had a blow out game. Vladdy went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 run jack.

I agree but there is something really messed up with confidence or comeback that needs to be patched .
Some of my games are great but seem scripted .
I either win or lose by a run always a nail biter, and once in a great while i win big .
I swear I play the same way every game and Imo it does what it wants .

I play alot each day and crap happens that shouldnt.
Sorry Bulk for posting this here but Im on the IR and play 10 hours a day and have seen it all but hopefully yours sliders will help some of these issues.
Will try your sliders now but their not much different from mine or others as thats not really the issue in my opinion .
So far theres really good great Mlb flow and fld arm at 5 seems great because most balls arent creamed ! very natural , but I fear it doesnt matter much when the confidence game starts.
thanks again mate Ill let you know after 20 games but im mostly playing playoffs.
Why hu pitcher const at 6 ? very interesting will it counter the uber cpu comeback offense and arrant hu pitching when confidence drops a bit ?.

Also what do you like about this years sliders good and bad ?

Ok Bulk,
Some early impressions and I sold you on a few last year under another name.
In 3 games I have been cheated lol out of 4 runs on solid hits to the OF even fast guys like Kinsler wont try going home do to arm strength at 5 but arizona does have good arms ?, also on 1b to 3b on hit and runs . Another few wierds ones were on Bunts ,PB/WP im on autobaserunning so maybe thats why its not noticied by you but the players are confused and wont advance ( they stand still kinda of bouncing ?) and i think its because of arm strength .
So I will move it to 4 a happy medium but most use 3 on Allstar to bad there wasnt inf/OF throw strength sliders as I like the inf at 5 real sharp.
Case in point everything moves perfect in the field , baserunners , fielders but at 5 the arms are still cannons and cover to much ground on any hard hit at least with auto baserunning .
Check the replays look at the flow .
All 3 games were great and I think the 6 for HU Pitch const does the trick as its high enough to help when my pitcher is rattled .
The best part is I felt I had a chance to win or lose but it was me and not the cpu

ps im getting killed with API AT TIMES when I have leads .
3 straight inside FB lol but I had to try it

CPU comeback is broken on my game. I played the A's lastnight was up 2-0 after 4 innings and they didnt come back. Go figure 5 full innings and they didnt comeback and win. The game ended 2-0.
