You guys aren't going to believe the game I just had, it was incredible even though I ended up losing. I think it shows you just how great these sliders are and you better not ease up at all.

I jumped all over Cole Hamels and knocked him out of the game in the 5th, scoring 5 times on him. After a Escobar base clearing double off of a reliever I went up 8-2 in the 6th. I figured, well this game is over...let me go ahead and get Cain out of here and turn it over to my pen.

Philly ended up scoring 2 in the 7th and 4 in the 8th. Now all of a sudden it's a tie game. I go to the 9th and the first pitch Matt Holiday see he launches in the LF seats and I'm up 9-8. I'm thinking thank goodness I didn't end up blowing this one.

Thought wrong again, I bring in my closer and he gives up a one out single and after striking out Werth he gives up a single to Ruiz. After walking Rollins and loading the bases he throws a wild pitch to tie the game up and on a 2-2 count Dobbs hits a ground ball in the hole Escobar can't get to and I end up losing 10-9.

What a game, even though I lost it's one of those games that convinces me even more that this slider set is perfect. I've never had a game like this before.

    Box Score of this one

    Braves 9 11 0
    Phillies 10 17 1

Played Blue Jays vs Indians (me) won 4-2.

          Blue Jays: 2 6 0 -- 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0
          Indians: 4 11 1 -- 0 4 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

          WP: Reyes - 6 ip, 4 h , 2 r, 4 k
          LP: Halladay - 5 ip, 8 h, 4 r, 3 bb, 5 k
          S: Wood

Reyes was dominate the entire game. They took the lead in the 2nd on a ground out by Snider to go up 1-0. Came right back in the bottom of the 2nd scoring 4. Martinez homered to right. Peralta, Choo and Shoppach had 3 consecutive singles to make it 2-1. I got another RBI single by Cabrera and a sac fly by Seizmore to go up 4-1. They couldn't touch Reyes. He gave up a RBI single to Wells in the 6th. After that my bullpen came down and shut them down.

Pitching seemed a tad to easy. In the 9th it took just 3 pitches to get 3 outs. That shouldn't happen in a 2 run game. How do you get the cpu to take more pitches. Would turning down human pitch control or pitch consistancy help?

LOL I know, since I've never had a game like that before though I'm not to worried about that. I've had plenty of games where I won easily.

Not seeing any errors with these. One month into the season and my team, The Nationals, have just 4 errors. 2nd place has 9.

Anyone feel like the starting pitcher stamina slider could be set for 6, instead of 5? I'm finding some (older) pitchers that I watched last yr (real life, not MLB The Show) go to 100-110 pitches w/o the big apparent drop in affectiveness that I see in MLB 09. For ex. Andy Petitte seems to get very very weak in accuracy and mph around 90-100 pitches at the 5setting, and I play him (about 8 straight exhibition games) whether I'm losing or winning I dont care, into the 7th / 8th or about 100-110 pitches and I think at a slider of 6 he is more accurately represented. He had 200+ innings last yr even w/ a bad 2nd half the yr (where he was removed earlier in the games) but it's not just the total innings, there were games where he pitched 100+ pitches to rest the NYY bullpen thanks to other NYY starters Mussina, Rasner, Ponsone Joba, you name it, not lasting/being allowed to last.

I bumped starter stamina up to 6. I had starters at 70 to 80 pitches in the 4th inning completely drained. Not realistic to me. I should be able to hit 100 pitches, for the most part, and not be struggling with stamina that much. I pitched a CG shutout with Zambrano the other day. He threw 125 pitches to do it. He was at low to no energy for the last 2 innings which seemed ok, but there is no way he was going the distance at the default setting.

After 50 games i would say yes, enough of a sample to tweak.

After 10 games i would say nowhere near enough.

You are asking if you should start tweaking after ONE game

Come back after 20 more and lets talk

Braves1984, 1.3 is the latest set, its a few pages back (im on 40 posts a page) and its on SportsConnect.

re: starters stamina, no, its fine, i wont be changing it, ive been 7/8 innings and more plenty of times with dominant starters throwing over 100 pitches, remember, you do not and certainly should not, be maxing out the meter each time you throw a pitch.

Well, I found perfects sliders 1.3, so I assume this is it.....One more question: Is there any other settings/adjustmenst to settings, etc...to play the game exactly as you are? Your response would be much appreciated.

                              Thanks
