I am very glad with your sliders and enjoy them. I've been tweaking them a bit, since I don't want to reduce pitch speed and I am prefferably a bad hitter via timing\not being very patient. What would you suggest I do?

Sometimes I can get about 6-10 hits a game on a rare occasion, but many consecutive games I only get about 2-4 hits.

Plus I want to keep the game realistic and I know you are more knowledgable about the sliders then myself. But as mentioned, I've been trying to tweak them myself, just want a second opinion on what I should do.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

As mentioned though, great job on the sliders.

Not trying to speak for him but if everything else is fine for you just lower pitch speed , it was a great fix for me without really effecting anything but my hitting/timing . Hope this helps mate :wink:

Something wierd happened this evening. As I typed my last post, I started playing 2 random games.

Both I play as Oakland for the user team. I faired well and had 2 homers in the first game and ending with 13 hits. I realized that the pitch speed was on 6, and Psycho has his sliders on 5. So just lowering them would help.

But truthfully at first, I was struggling trying to hit and my timing was really off.

Put pitch speed at -5, you'll be amazed at how well the game plays. It really doesn't need to be at default.

I'm pretty much come full circle, I've gone back to Psycho's slider set after doing a lot of tweaking on my own. The only thing I'm touching is the pitch speed.

Now that the patch has come and gone, I'm starting my franchise and not looking back.

I personally have them set at -5 also , just a nice pace very enjoyable for me .
Im sure Ill bump it up once I play more , just waiting for SCEA word about the patch .

Yeah pitch speed is a very personal thing, if you struggle to see breaks etc then lowering it helps, if you are fine with it leave it af default.

CBMerling, try it at 5 (default) for a while and see how it goes.

Give these sliders a try on Veteran, they work great!

If you get too good at hitting or pitching there are little tweaks you can do to make it very competitive.

wanted to start a franchise but those patch problems and knights rosters not being out yet will make me wait. until then will try this set on quick games.

on default i get good games but i have a few tweaks i would like to correct
- fielders seem too fast
- too few K´s from the cpu, and i swing a lot

Psycho, i think that the cpu throws way to many pitches in the strike zone so i may lower cpu strike frequency to 1 and see how that goes. I also may drop Human pitcher control & consistency to 5

I'm in my Redsox franchise.. Getting about less than 10 hits a game, but the scores are always really low. Highest score I've had was 5 runs... Seems I leave alot on base. Only walked twice. I'm in my 6th game of the season...


I had to lower pitch speed 1 notch.

You know i didnt believe in all the computer comeback AI but now i do! I shut down the Astros all game long and all of the sudden in the 8th and 9th inning they came alive with 4 runs and their closer comes in and and shuts me down! I really wish this did not exist in the game because it is VERY frustrating!!!!

Lovin these sliders so far.

Just did a three game series in my Marlins dynasty against the Nationals. First two games my pitchers through a complete two hit shutout with me winning 1-0 and 5-0.

Third game not so good. Started out with a 6-1 lead and then hit two batters and loaded the bases. Next hit it went straight down the foul line for a fair ball and the Nationals made it 6-4. I put in my closer at the end and edged them out 6-5 after giving up a run throwing the batter out.

Very nice sliders.

Right, no MLB team has ever scored 4 runs in the 8th and the 9th to comeback...

Any idea how these do on Hall of Fame?

Pitching has become rather "easy" on All Star with these. (Stike zone is off, etc.)

Any feedback from anyone else?

Love these sliders. Only problem im having is I ground out to the shortstop about 10 times a game. I hit a lot of ground balls and dont take many pitches. Prob why im 2-4. However, i dont think its a comeback glitch, its just my bullpen sucks. So its hard to keep the guys off base, then if you let your SP in too long, starts to get hit at end of the game.

I think i hit the most Majestic HR with Pujols the other day, ive never seen such a beautiful Hr in a video game in my life. Looked real close to the Grand Slam he hit vs Cubs. But the trajectory of the ball was awesome, it landed behind the bullpen in left and up on the landing. But at one time the ball was higher than stadium. Such a good game this is.
