Yes, i can assure you they do.

Hitting .400 through only 10 games is absolutely nothing to be worried about, nor is .200, its called being on a tear/slump

Trust me, when you have played 100 games you will realise all is well

OK thanks, that's what I thought but just wanted to make sure. I find myself hoping I get out with my high average guys and pressing with my low average guys.

There are also a couple of guys that strike out more than they should but I guess it's just a slump like you said.

I'll just relax and not worry about it so much.

Thanks....I kind of feel bad though. Right now I'm playing the Pirates and they are 0-11, if I keep doing what I'm doing they aren't going to get their first win against me, lol.

Psycho, I'm on vacation this week so I'm getting to play a good portion of my season here. I have now played 14 games and something concerns me a little bit. I know it was touched on 5 pages back or so but I want to get your thoughts on it.

Manager Hook for the computer. You have it at 6, what I'm noticing is the managing of the CPU's bullpen is horrible. They run through every reliever they have it seems like. They will bring in a guy for a couple of batters, then they'll pull him and go get another reliever. I just think a lot of their moves are unnecessary. Should I be concerned with this or am I overthinking it just a little to much?

Also the starters seem to be pulled a little to early, I know Snell was in the 6th inning and had thrown 77 pitches and they pulled him after a single. It was the 11th hit but he had only given up 3 runs, should they have pulled him there?

I'm thinking about lowering the manager hook to 5 but I want to get your thoughts on it before I do it. I'm using Knight's rosters pre patch if that makes a difference...

I dont see an issue (as explained previously, i often see 120/130 pitch gems thrown), that said if you want to try 5, go for it.

As for Snell, only 3 runs yes but 11 hits in 6 innings is a lot, it wasnt about the pitch count as 77 is fine but more the fact he gave up too many hits i would say.

            psycho!
been playing with your rosters for a couple of days.won 3 lost 2, good stuff....lost both games by one, everything is great....except i've given up a huge amount of HRs, like, averaging two or three a game...whilst not getting as many myself. do you think the AI power is still good at 6 in your experience?

Yeah, fine, remember, youve only played 5 games, they even out over time.
You may also have been playing some power hitting teams?

ok psycho, sounds good to me! i'll persevere. i suppose i gave some up to delgado, uggla, hermida and ibanez IN philly, so maybe i'm just being paranoid after playing for so long with much easier sliders AND on veteran!

I'm playing with these on ps2. Did a fantasy draft. Love how things are going man. Good sliders. I let the cpu pick my team. Kinda in a slump right now though, hope I'll break out of it sonner then later

What kind of errors are you guys seeing? I'm seeing entirely to many. I play with auto fielding/manual throwing. I like the animations you get by playing that way. Through 15 games though my infield already has 11 errors, that's to many. I'm also having to many rallies extended because the CPU can't field.

I've dropped the fielding errors to 4 and throwing errors to 3. I'm wondering if I'm the only one having these problems.

Errors are fine for me, im always near the top of the league in fielding percentage.

Im thinking auto fielding maybe the cause here.

                        Thanks PB

That convinces me even me to make the adjustment on the error sliders. I've played a game with these and I know it's only one game but the fielding was much smoother, I did just make a throwing error in the 9th though, ended up rushing the throw and throwing off my back foot. That's my fault though, I should have set my feet and made a better throw.

What was happening to me with your error sliders wasn't anything I could control. They would bobble the ball before I had a chance to make a throw.

I use assisted fielding with manual throwing and i have seen 1 error in 8 games with the Red Sox. I have actually bumped up fielding errors to 6 to see if that renders more errors.

                            My homerun power is gone

It was perfect for the first 20 games (hit 20 in that span), but I've only hit 6 during my last 20 games and sitting in last place for homeruns.

The rest of my offense is just fine. I'm in the top 5 for doubles, batting average, runs, and hits. I just have no Power.

I even ended up increasing my Power to 8, and my Timing to 6 over the last 10 games, and it hasn't helped me much.

Maybe I'm just pressing, but it's annoying because the CPU seems to score all their runs on homeruns. My team ERA is 3rd in the league, but I've given up 56 homeruns in 40 games.

                            Suggestions?

What were you doing the first 20 games that you aren't doing now? If you could hit them then the sliders shouldn't be an issue. One thing I noticed was I have to relax at the plate, if I start pressing I start swinging at stuff I shouldn't and that hurts me offensively. For the longest time strikesout really bothred me, I would tense up when I got two strikes because I was afraid I was going to have guys with unrealstic strikeout numbers. That ended up hurting me, eventually I just stopped worrying about it and I've noticed a lot of my homeruns have come with two strikes because I'm recognizing the pitch out of the pitchers hand a lot easier. I've also noticed that the K numbers have gone down, I'm only k'ing about 5 times a game now and there is only one guy on the team that has a high k total at the end of April and that's Adam Laroche, his even isn't that high for him. 20 in a month is about right for him.

So I guess what I'm saying is relax, don't tweak with the sliders and go back to what you were doing in the first 20 games.

Of course that's easy for me to say, I'm having a lot of success hitting right now. I'm about in the same boat you were in I guess. I have about 20 homeruns right now and I've played 18 games.

It probably is too much thinking. Once I hit a mini homerun slump, I think I might be looking for them too much.

The other problem seems that the CPU Pitcher (whether it's the starter or reliever) always starts off with maxed out or really high Confidence. It's annoying, and probably contributing to my inability to jack them out.
