LOL, that's why I stated that the pitch speed slider was totally optional. I might actually be better off if I went back to default. Sometimes you can have too much time to think, lol.
      Glad you like the sliders.

For sure. Especially with the announcers constantly messing with your head

          cpu starter 3 reliver 2
          manager hook 8

Now what should I do? Stick with yours or use his pitching sliders?

          Thanks.

If you are using Knight's pitch stamina rosters (the ones Razr tweaked so that starters and relievers fatigued more and quicker), I would use those sliders for pitcher fatigue and manager hook.

If not, I would just stick with mine. I use Knights rosters (one without pitch stamina edits) for my Twins franchise and it works great. You will just have to check to see which version of Knight's rosters you have since there are so many, lol. That guy is stellar.

How are the games going so far? I am in the midst of a painful 4 game losing streak. I was swept by the Diamondbacks and haven't scored hardly at all in 4 games including no HRs. It is amazing how variable this game can be. I was raking the ball for a while, but not now. It hasn't been much fun lately. I can only fit 1 or 2 games in a night, and then I lose, worse yet score 0 or 1 runs. Now I am chasing everything. I stink, lol.

That is soooo true. I completely choked once with Dempster after they mentioned it. They "jinxed" me.

Yes, I'm alright, in fact I only write you when I have problems:wink:

I've just started a Pirates franchise after a month of exhibition games, I still suck to tell you the truth, but doesn't matter because the game's a lot of fun.
I'm using a roster file called OSFMv5, I think it's lineup glitch free, I don't know if it has RAzr edits, gotta check.....do you know?

I am pretty sure that one does not have the pitch stamina edits (I am pretty sure I use that one for my Twins Franchise), so you can just stick with my sliders for fatigue/manager hook if you like how it plays.
I should be able to complete April tonight with my Cubs franchise (I restarted it once after changing CPU power to 6), so I will post some stats soon.

Ok I was wrong the roster is called OSFMv5s, where that s stands for stamina, so I should use razr pitching sliders.....till next time

Started a Dodgers franchise using these sliders, and my man you have a gem here. 7-6 through the first 15 games, will keep you updated on my stats.

Yes, definitely. I would only change the sliders for user/CPU fatigue (starters and relievers) and CPU manager hook.

Re: DrUrsus All-Star Sliders to draw walks, be selective & CPU plays "fairer" game

Here are some stats from my Chicago Cubs franchise through April. I use CPU roster control ON and have pretty much tried to have the correct guys on the DL, pitching matchups, lineups, etc. to follow the real season. So, unfortunately, I have had to play a lot without A. Ramirez, M. Bradley and G. Soto (I use the real lineups from the box scores for particular days). I used modified stock rosters (no changes to ratings however) for this particular franchise and added all the players SCEA added weekly as well to it.
                          Offense/Fielding
Batting Avg: .294 (high, but my OBP isn't so it sort of evens out) (2nd in league behind Astros (.302))

                          Runs: 89 (T-20th)
                          Hits: 226 (3rd)
                          Doubles: 34 (T-24th)
                          Triples: 4 (9th)
HR's 15 (29th) (I have followed the season and A. Ramirez and M. Bradley as well as G. Soto have not played a lot and not much together, so my power numbers are not so good )
                          RBIs: 82 (23rd)
Stolen Bases: 15 (T-7th) I am agressive, do hit and runs, steal, and get thrown out a lot too!
                          Caught Stealing: 12 (30th)
                          Stolen Base %: .556 (27th)
                          Strikeouts (batting): 112 (T-1st)
                          Slugging %: .406 (20th)
Errors: 7 (2nd) most are by Theriot and are throwing errors

                          Pitching
                          ERA: 3.21 (6th)
                          CG: 0
                          Shutouts: 0
                          Saves: 9 (T-6th)
                          Blow Saves: 3 (T-14th)
                          Hits Allowed: 183 (3rd)
                          Runs Allowed: 77 (6th)
                          Earned Runs: 71 (t-5th)
                          HRs allowed: 18 (T-4th)
Base on Balls Allowed: 77 (T-21st)
                          Strikeouts: 171 (1st)

My record is 13-9 and I am tied with the Astros for 1st place in the NL Central.

                          Notables:
Ryan Theriot .386 is leading BA in the NL
The Riot leading in hits 34 NL
Kosuke Fukudome 2 triples behind 3 other guys with 3
No one on my team in top 10 in HRs or RBIs
Kevin Gregg leading NL with 8 Saves
Carlos Zambrano has 31 Ks and ranked 6th in NL (Leader has 45 Johan Santana)
So, other than batting average, my offense is blowing and my pitching is pretty good. But, I have been following the real season and haven't started A. Ram, M. Bradley, and Soto that much. Plus I have been stuck starting A. Miles, and K. Hill alot lately.

Wow, last night I gave up 16 runs and scored 1 (I had 4 hits). I was destroyed. It didn't matter what I pitched they just hit everything. My ERA has went up quite a bit from the one posted above. Sometimes it seems like there are some games that just "even out" the stats. I felt like I had no control last night. Oh well, I guess these games happen in real baseball.

Been playin with your sliders for a while now and they are great, I recently switched the Fielder Run Speed & Reaction to 2.

The game plays incredible at this setting. Once again great set of sliders you have developed here.

DrUrsus, I should probably have given you some kudos for your sliders by now, as they've given me some very memorable & varied games. I like to play multiple seasons & got a late start waiting for rosters and trying different slider sets, so I'm only playing one (& rarely 2) games per series. I make sure to mark down the dates of the games I personally played so I can compile stats later.

In the games I played, I started out 4-11 with your sliders, but have won 4 of the last 5 to raise my record to 8-12 in my Indians franchise. I'm dragging the team down, as the team's record in simulated games is far better.

I had one amazing game this weekend that I already mentioned in another thread. I was trailing KC 11-2 in the 8th inning. I managed to score 4 in the 8th & then 5 in the 9th, tying up the game 11-11 on a Ryan Garko grand slam with nobody out. That's right -- I somehow scored 9 runs while making only 3 outs! But then all of a sudden I couldn't do anything on offense and wound up losing 12-11 in 12 innings.

I also had a game that I won 2-1 in 15 innings, so its not like all my games are slugfests. I'll have to compile my stats when I have a chance. I do think both the CPU & I are generating a little bit too much offense. However, my pitching has improved lately as I've changed my approach a bit while using classic pitching. With anyone who throws <95mph, I rarely throw anything in the upper half of the strike zone. Another big key for me is throwing inside more to keep hitter's off balance. Its nice to see some broken bats & awkward swings when I jam hitters with inside fastballs.

Thanks again for coming up with these!
