hmm i might have to quit trying to record this hitting video. my motherboard has issues with memory and memory settings, few weeks ago i had some software issues that wiped out my bios settings. now i cant figure out a stable config.

its causing my comp to crash when i record my videos ;x. worst thing is that i have not had a crash when im recording my ncaa10 videos, only the show.

ill keep pluggin away at it, i have had some very good at bats i wanted to show.

Had to give these a shout out , nice job DrUrsus as they do what you say to make the game play a fairer more realisticly game .
I also like the pitch speed lower maybe its my old eyes but I will raise if need be .

Re: DrUrsus All-Star Sliders to draw walks, be selective & CPU plays "fairer" game

I've been looking for some reasonable All-Star sliders, having found the AI a bit too tame offensively on Veteran, so I downloaded these and got one game in last night. I know you can't get a much smaller sample size, but I liked what I saw, despite losing 3-0 as PIT @ NYM. Three walks for each team is a good start, I probably could've had more if I wasn't still learning the game. My pitch recognition could use some work to say the least...

The only changes I made were raising pitch speed to 3 -- I'm early on everything at zero and really can't distinguish offspeed stuff -- and turning off pitcher confindence, at least for now. Since I'm still prone to having the wheels come off, I don't need any help to have a bad inning or get the CPU on a roll.

I think my hitting stinks primarily because I can't get the PCI located that well. Is it correct that this is vital on All-Star & higher? If so, I may have to turn it on until I get a better feel for it. I just don't care for visual aids, so I have most everything off.

PS - I think being able to split difficulty levels for pitching/hitting will really help me get acclimated in '10

                  Hey guys,

This is my first post on the forum. I have been reading through these threads in anticipation for The Show 2010. I gotta say thanks for all the helpful insight. I have not used sliders at all for 09, and I am going to do so tonight.

I mostly play with Veteran difficulty, but I am decent, so I wonder if I should just move to All-Star an implement these sliders...your thoughts?

I am pumped for 2010, but I will miss my pitcher in RTTS for 09. The online leagues look awesome, and I can't wait.

Hopefully I will see you all around here more often.

                    Welcome, artyzipp.

I'm new to the game (got PS3 in December), but now that I've logged more than a handful of games, I'm pretty happy with these settings. I've made a few minor tweaks, but I still use the "core" of DrUrsus' settings, namely his CON/POW/TIMING for both human & cpu.

I'm still prone to having one terrible inning on the mound that skews the final score -- several 10+ runs allowed games due to one 5+ run inning -- but other than that it seems well balanced. But I do use the Pirates almost exclusively, so I guess that's realism for you...

I played only about half of a game last night, and I am really enjoying these sliders. Mainly I need to work on my patience, since I swing at way too much crap off the plate.

I couldn't find a lot of the slider controls in the game (just not used to looking for them).

DrUrsus, do you have the sliders loaded on SportsConnect? If so, what is the name?

                      Thanks,

                      ArtyZipp

I really like these sliders but let me tell you that i am really terrible at swinging at the low stuff below the strikezone. What i have now done to help me out is use the classic 1/4 guess pitch, i always guess low in the zone with it that way i know if one is coming low or not.

What's up Doc, are you planning on making a set for '10? Your set was amazing for 09, hoping you're gonna work your magic again this year.
