i will try. thank you. Oh about that solid hits slider, lowering that makes balls that are not hit on sweet spot softer right? and raising it raises the sweet spot?
i probably should use all-star yet. ill try veteran 1st to get my timing better.

      Go w/ All-Star - you'll get better, trust me

You are correct about the solid hits slider, with it at default(5) - it seemed that 90% of balls were hit hard

ive played 3 games with these sliders...one of the games the cpu had 3 or 4 wild pitches...the other two games not a problem...but it def. seems the cpu starts to hit late in the game

                Classic or Meter Pitching?

I use the meter - don't really seem to have problems with wild pitches

Same here. Zambrano threw a wild pitch, and there was already an error throwing to first. Pirates are winning 2 - 0 bottom of the 1st. However, I remember Zambrano not doing good at all in last years version either.

                  And this is manager mode.

Re: TNKNGM MLB10 All-Star Realism Sliders

I just finished a game between CIN and SD, using the "Solid Hits at 0" sliders.

                    CIN 5 14 0
                    SD 1 4 1

                    CIN 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 2
                    SD 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Hitting the ball wasn't a problem, especially late in the game, but SD couldn't get anything going. Of their 4 hits, they had 2 extra base hits (a double and the other was a triple that was actually a ball hit to right field that Dickerson muffed when he watched the ball roll right by him). I saw a good deal of batted balls, everything from pop-ups to frozen ropes. No homers in this game.

                    Highlights:

                    Homer Bailey pitches complete game
Brandon Phillips goes 5-5, R, RBI

                    Lowlights:

CIN strikes out 15 times, Votto 4 times alone (0-4)
SD manages 4 hits all game

So far, I'm feeling pretty good about these sliders. Of course, it's only been 1 game so more testing will need to take place, especially against much better teams.

14 hits?...the last game i had a lot of hits and so did the cpu...ive been thinking about lowering some of the batting attributes for human and cpu just a little to see how that works

Yup, 14 hits. 9 singles, 4 doubles, and a triple. Like I said, I attributed all those hits to a mediocre SD pitching staff.

                          Boston(ME) 2 @ Cleveland(CPU) 6

** This game was played using the adjustments listed in post #1 of this thread**

Fausto Carmona pitched a very good game for Cleveland. Clay Buchholz pitched damn well for Boston but was a tough luck loser as he was victimized by his defense. Buchholz was perfect through 4 innings and was in cruise control entering the fifth, that's when Cleveland got back to back doubles to score a run w/ 2 outs and then Marco Scutaro let a routine groundball through his legs and Cleveland was able to put up 4 runs in the inning.

                          Boston .................2 runs / 8 hits / 1 errors
                          Cleveland...........6 runs / 9 hits / 1 errors

Make sure you are using the latest settings that are in post #1 of the thread......I have made some tweaks.

Check out the results I just posted form Boston @ Cleveland.....8 runs scored and just 1 HR in the game.

Buchholz was over 90 pitches thru 6 innings
Carmona was over 105 pitches thru 7 innings

Very happy with how that game went even though I lost

with fielder run speed at 0 do you find it hard tracking fly balls? i have it at one so not a big difference i guess but having it at 0 i was wondering how it is?
