    Not referring to you specifically.

I picked 15 games as a sample size for 2 reasons: [1] It's 3 times through the pitching rotation and [2] It's usually 5 series of games, most often 1 series against a good team, one against a poor team, and 3 series against average teams.

You don;t want to over-compensate too much on games versus good or bad teams/pitchers, and you always want to take into account the team you are playing with.

I agree with everything you said

Re: TNKNGM MLB10 All-Star Realism Sliders

I'm not singling you out TNKNGM, but people throw around the term "realism" and "perfect" sliders way too much around here. They're just tuners and they cater to peoples' different styles.

You can literally just make up sliders and adjust them randomly, and still see "perfect" statistical games and chalk them up to the slider tweaks. Unfortunately baseball is a game of high variance and you need large sample sizes. Even in real life, a player (or team) can have a torrid month or even two months, while be below average for the remainder of the season.

Just last year, there were 40 different sets with all kinds of sliders varying from -10 to +10 adjustments. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

With being able to adjust difficulty settings separately between hitting and pitching, i think it will help A LOT of people.

My suggestion for this thread, we can start tweaking GLOBAL sliders, and tweak things that may seem obvious from a global standpoint (like, are outfielders too fast? their arms too strong?), rather than individual skill dependent tweaks that vary from user to user.

From there, maybe start tweaking things such as Fouls etc.

I know what you're saying and I get it

I use the term realism because I want the end result to produce a realistic feel. Like how fast the fielders move, etc.

Re: TNKNGM MLB10 All-Star Realism Sliders

Phyco's Perfect Slider Set 1.4 was awesome last year and they actually work quite well for a base set for 10'. I thought that the outfielders were too quick, the fielders needed added reaction speed, and better human pitching control. All were part of Phyco's 09' set so I incorportated the exact set to 10' and I have been getting great results! Others should try.

That's what I'm doing today......made a couple very minor tweaks to fielding speed and am loving what I'm seeing so far in the game i'm playing now

Re: TNKNGM MLB10 All-Star Realism Sliders

Psycho's set sold me last year, and the one thing I did do after just three games this year was bring the Fielder Speed and Reaction Speed down 1 click each to "4".

Playing with the Braodcast Cam I was noticing that my fielders felt too jumpy, and their sensitivity with regards to the controller was just too twitchy.

Having these ticked down a notch seemed to make it feel a bit more natural, and I still am loving that I have to be very aware of where my fellas are positioned.

I am already seeing more balls over the head of the outfielders, and the gappers are much more suited to a SIM style of play.

I find my self replaying the hits and the outs, and asking myself if it seems like the result looked like it ought to in the real game.

                      So far so good.

Made a couple adjustments in the first post......looked at PsychoBulks set from last year which is what I used last year and they were great.

I brought the fielder speed down close to where his set was and increased the reaction time and was very happy with the feel and result.

Will play more later - if somebody tries these - please post some results

I will try to upload the current set right now to the Vault so you can just grab them online w/ the PS3 instead of manually entering them

told ya! Yeah but what kinda worries me is that most of the "slider guys" are stating that they don't see big slider changes. If I can take 1.4 and have great results I believe that this game definatly needs slider tweaking.

Would you mind downloading the set I just put up on the vault and playing some games and providing feedback.

Maybe we can work together on these?
