Question for stolen bases, are you seeing them attempted by the CPU? I'm only in my first series of the year but the CPU is only running on 3-2 counts. I realize I need to play more games but I was wondering what you are seeing.

Yep I'm seeing them. In fact I seem to always have a brain fart at least once a game. Seen a few times on first pitches too which really tick me because I just wasn't thinking about it and I get burned.
I'm starting a new dynasty tonight (Have all my sounds/vendors etc.. in for the stadiums) and will be trying out the new roster.

I'll keep an eye out on it and let you know.

For me right now its the fine line between the right pitcher fatigue and pitch counts I am working on.
Once I have that cool I will be "officially" done with AS and may move to legend. I will skip HOF this year.

Sky what pitching slider settings are you using for human and CPU? I wanna see if we have similar ideas on this one.
I just finished a ST game where Joba threw 26 pitches in the first inning. I think 18 of them were balls. Now I know he can struggle with control at times but does this to you seem like a wacky ratio? From what I remember he gave up a first pitch double, then walk, single to score a run, walk, double play (3 ball counts to almost every batter during this whole sequence) walk then K.
On the other side of this, my pen was decent. Park was good, Hughes went 1-2-3 in the 8th on I think 8 or 9 pitches, and Mo came in for the save in the 9th and threw 17 pitches, 15 strikes. Gave up a solo HR but K'ed the side.

Wow, I'm blind. I didn't know you had your settings a few posts down from the first one. I've been waiting to see what your updates are. lol

I guess that game I just described fits what you were saying earlier. It makes the really good pitchers stand out. I mean I would certainly consider Mo a much better pitcher than Joba and the stats from the game show that. Mo never walks anybody and he threw all but 2 strikes for me, while Joba was a disaster waiting to happen if it wasn't for the double play.
Another stat I remember is I threw 68% strikes, the CPU 75%. Theirs seems a little high so I am going to drop CPU strike freq down to 1 (on a 0-10 scale) and see how that goes.

K just an update, I've been playing with these and absolutely love them so far. I increased the pitching difficulty with these to Hall of Fame and left hitting on All Star.

First game I won 4-3 in 17 innings, second game I won 5-2 in 9, 3rd game I won 3-2 in 11, 4th game I lost 5-4 in 11.

Good variety of hits so far. I'm seeing pop ups to the catcher, foul tips, soft liners, choppers, line drives, etc. I'm getting a little bit of everything.

Fun game to play, this slider set is making the experience even better. I might not even need Psycho's slider set this year.

Sky what kind of power are you seeing with these?
It's probably just my timing but I have hit a few meatball pitches for easy outs with guys who should be doing some damage with that pitch. Like I said, could be my timing (not the slider timing but my own ability timing).

user dependent man.. I was always early on everything.
I'm currently at 7 BTW so I did lower it 1.
I'll update the setting on page 1.

Yeah it's timing man. I've also just missed a pitch I should have taken yard. Then there are those I didn't miss... Woot!
I like it not being an auto HR on "meat pitches" as a meat pitch still needs hit right.

Power has been great man. All my power hitters are getting good numbers and even my regular guys are hiting one here and there. Last night Jeter led off a game with a dinger.
I NEVER use Power swing either so all these are from the normal/contact swing.
Trust me..HR's are there

Please remember: Certain settings are due to other settings..so you can mess up the balance if you don't weigh the cause/effect of the adjustments.
be patient at the plate and don't be afraid to walk guys

your sliders work good dude...i played 2 games so far on my franchise..lost both times but stats were normal and both games were 1 run games and one went into extra innings...i think i should increase the power more but idk yet i think its my hitting im gonna try a few more games first.

This sliders work on Hall of Fame as well if you want to try mixing it up. I was finding hitting challenging but pitching too easy so I pitch on Hall of Fame with these sliders and hit on All Start.

I'd encourage everyone to mix up the level difficulties if they have to.

I used these for a game last night and I absolutely raked at the plate. I hit 5 homeruns in the first 3 innings. Not sure what it is about this year, but balls seem to be flying out of the park. I was okay at '09 last year, but it seems in '10 I hit homeruns all the time, no matter what sliders I use. And I strike out way too much too!!!
