i like your sliders. they seem very fair. but one question i have is the AI tends to swing early in counts. is there a way to make them more patient. thanks.

Strikeout problems are probably a user problem, not a slider problem. How often are you swinging at bad pitches?

As far as power goes? I've hit a homers as well but I don't feel it's unrealistic. One game I hit 4 and there were other games where I've hit none. I have 13 in 8 games thus far. That's not an unrealistic amount is it?

Just played my first game using these sliders. I was the Yankees and I won 13-5 against Tampa. I had 8 homeruns as a team, which is obviously somewhat high. Pitching match up was AJ Burnett vs. James Shields. I thought both of their final lines were pretty accurate to what they'd do in real life. Hitting-wise I just dominated, though. I had more homeruns than base hits...I wanna say I had 15 hits as a team, I think. Anyway, 1 double (down the RF line) and a few singles in addition to the 8 homeruns.

Played a game last night using these sliders, was a lot of fun. Rockies vs Pirates. Ubaldo Jiminez 6 2/3 5 hits 2er 4bb 10k's. Lost 3-1 though. 3 of the walks....to Ronny Cedeno lol unreal. Mcutchen went deep and Randy Flores gave up a insurance run in the 7th in relief. Miguel Olivo went deep against Duke but just couldnt get anything sustained going and got impatient in end of the game. Duke 9ip 5hitter 2 walks 10k's (i know ugly) but totally wasnt the sliders all me. I had 1st and 3rd 1 out in the first inning and let Duke off the hook. A lot of fun have to work on my timing. One thing i did notice there were like 4 sliding catches done by the outfield and the computer fouled a ton of balls off. Not saying they were slider related just a general observation.

Make sure you are NOT using the power swing or Guess Pitch or you will get too many HR's.
Can't see how anyone can smash a lot of hr's with no Guess Pitch and no power swing especially with higher pitch speed. Unless the K ratio is also high due to just sitting a certain pitch the whole game...

            Or I just suck.. lol

Yeah I'm not getting a ton of HR's either.
Through 13 ST games, as the Yankees, I have the following homers.....
              Posada - 4
              Rodriguez - 3
Cano, Jeter, Granderson, Swisher - 1

That's 8 in 13 games, with 3 of those being in 1 game.

On another issue, Sky how are your pitchers in this game with these settings? I'm really struggling with control for some guys. I feel like with most pitchers I am behind in every count, almost forcing me to groove one, and I usually have men on base so I don't really want to give in and walk anyone else.

I think the pitching is close enough for this fantasy world...
I think it's mainly that classic pitching seems "off" this year. Lot more random than last year and quite frankly a tad too random. Some of the things I've seen happen have no rhyme or reason as to why. However I can usually pinpoint pitches too well with meter pitching, plus I don't like the clutter on the screen.

You can up the ability of the pitching BUT the higher you go the less difference you'll see from pitcher to pitcher. I'm satisfied with how things are though and will ride it out. This is my MLB after all

Just wanted to compliment on your sliders again man, I went and tried Psycho's set but yours just have a better feel for me this year. That's meant as a huge compliment to you, I've used Psycho's the last two years but I'm going to stick with these this year.

I'm currently 10-3 and in a series with Philly, I'm blowouts and pitching duels. Right now I'm winning most of them but baseball is a long season so I'm sure that will change. A lot of hit variety as well, classic pitching is challenging at times but that's the way I like it.

Great work again, I'm loving these.

Well I've hit a losing streak.

I was 10-3 and thinking these sliders were too easy, now I can't seem to win a game. I'm down 6-1 heading into the 9th and after this loss it'll put me at 12-7. So I'm 2-4 in my last 6 games.

Anyone else sticking with these and if so how is your franchise going?

Using these on All-Star for hitting and pitching.

with the dbacks i'm sitting at 5-4. most games have been low scoring. I think my last 4 games have been 4-3 loss, 3-0 loss, 1-0 win, 8-7 win.

overall liking them and sticking with them

Sky thanks for the tips on the injury slider. I now simulate games with it at 0 and play games with it at 7. That way I get a realistic amount of injuries both in simulations and gameplay.

Creating my injuries got old after awhile.

I've played 3 games at 7 thus far.

Chipper got hurt diving to his left and was out 2 days with a lower back strain. Brad Penny got hurt for the Cardinals after throwing a pitch and he's out 2-3 month, I forgot what his injury was.

That's the only two I've seen thus far.
