I took your advice and I was able to draw 3 walks my last game! You're right if you swing at the first pitch strike a few times then the cpu won't always throw that first pitch strike. It was a weird game though, I took a 5 - 0 lead in the bottom of the 3rd and then the next inning the cpu hit 3 home runs, a double, and a few other hits to take a 7 - 5 lead, I ended up losing 9 - 6. I know there probably isnt a comeback AI but I have had a few games where I would take a big lead one inning and then the next inning the cpu is unstoppable as they get hit after hit and take the lead. After their big inning Im all of the sudden not able to do anything right and every hit is hard but right at someone. Those games have made me a bit suspect on the comeback AI.

How are everyone's strikeout totals? It seems with this year's sliders I've been striking out a hell of a lot more than I did in '09 with Psycho's sliders. I used to average anywhere from 5-6 strikeouts a game, less on a really good day. After playing almost 50+ games I strikeout 8-10 times a game. Also, the walks are just not there for me. On a really good day I can get 3 walks but that doesn't happen very often. Almost every pitcher I have faced just hammers the corners to get a head while I hardly find MY pitch to hit. After managing to get a 2-2 or a 3-2 count, the pitcher continues to paint the corners. I consider myself to have an above average batting eye and and can tell the difference between a ball and strike as it's coming towards the plate. That's all useless if you're up to bat and can't get ahead in the count when the pitcher has pinpoint accuracy. Like Rex Hudler says, you can't hit the ball if the pitcher doesn't make mistakes.Comment

Steal results on these settings? Realistic for user and AI?
I'm at Arm Strength -1 (4), Br Speed 0 (5) and Br Steal Ability 0 (5), and the steal percentages are waaaaay too low.
In another thread, someone tested and believes (seems credible) that the Br Steal Ability slider is reversed, and needs to be moved TO THE LEFT TO INCREASE STEAL ABILITY.[Insert clever, personally-relevant, or cutting-edge remark, data, link, or picture]Comment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
Im stealing at a very realistic clip.
Stealing is all about picking the right man, at the right time, on the right count and pitcher etc.
Im 15/17 over about 30 exhibition games for stealing.Comment

Hey these sliders are pretty decent I usually own on the batting side of the game, and I get bored cuz I crush all day. But pitching wise I am owning the CPU, in 10 straight games I didn't give up more than 2 runs. 6 were shutouts, 3 were 1 runs, and one was 2 runs.....I mean I do have a killer staff (Lincecum, Cain, Garza, Hernadez and Lester) But still that is a lil ridic, no?Comment

True, but what about the Yanks or Sox? Do guys have the same issues when playing with them? I am going to start a new franchise with Yanks and (CC, Javier, Burnett, Lackey, And Dice-K) lets see how that works outComment

When I said bored, I meant on HOF diff with default sliders, it was to easy, these hitting sliders are pretty decent, no need to be a doucheComment

Since that last post I dropped my last two games, though. Could get no offence going at all and only scored 3 runs in total. Lost 4-2 and 4-1. I keep making solid contact but it's always straight at guys, even hard-hit line drives into the outfield so I was mostly unlucky.Comment
