Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
My problem with Zone is I have to use guess pitch on it because I am not coordinated enough to recognize 96 MPH fbs in the corners to also move that damn PCI.
My Tip for HRs is to wait for inside pitches and use normal swing. Never use power swing it seems to only be good for sac flys for me, maybe 1 or 2 homer off it.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
Pitch speed is the only slider I really mess with. Some games 0 I can sit back and be patient and it's perfect. Other games I need to crank it up to 3. 1 has actually given me the most success but then I get a hardball thrower like Felix and I can't tell balls from strikesComment

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
These sliders are crap. This game is crap. The only reason I got an HD TV recently is so I can buy the PS3 and finally play The Show for it. It quickly became the worst $800 I ever spent.
No matter what I do I cannot freaking hit in this game. Timing and contact sliders are all the way up. Pitch speed is all the way down. I still cannot hit. My team batting average is all the way down to .240. I am getting beat by pitchers that have no business beating me. I am striking out ab it less, but nothing I hit seems to drop. I make contact on balls right down the middle, and instead of crushing them for hits, they end up going right at the fielder. To make matters worse, the cheap hits are nonexistant. In real life you see a bunch of players get cheap garbage hits on bad pitches. I don't. I check the swing analysis. It seems the only way I can get a hit is if I'm perfect on both timing and contact. That isn't normal either. In real life hitters aren't perfect every single time either and they still get hits.
Furthermore, the strike frequency slider, which I also have set all the way down, doesn't seem to be working. The pitchers I face continue to throw mostly first pitch strikes, burying me in 0-2 counts and forcing me to swing at crap. Case in point. My latest game I got shutout and the opposing pitcher with a crappy record and ERA threw all first pitch strikes, a lot of times two straight, and over 80% of the pitches I took hit for strikes. Ridiculous.
Oh, and the kicker. I AM PLAYING ON VETERAN! In The Show for PS2, I used to kill the ball while playing on all-star. My team batting average was over .300, which was acceptable because I hardly ever walked (still hardly ever do) and all the extra singles I got compensated for the lack of walks and kept my on base percentage at a normal level.
I loved playing the Show for PS2 because I could hit and score runs and it was fun doing that. I was excited to finally get a PS3 with the Show because I was looking forward to doing that with the extra added bonus of the real life feel (better graphics and my own imported sounds). I have now barely played any games over the last two weeks because it's too frustrating not to be able to hit to the point where I want to throw my controller through the TV screen.Comment

Now is this game perfect? No, but it's very damn good!!!! You need to improve and you are obviously doing something wrong when you tilt all the sliders in your favor to the max and you still suck at the game.....but obviously it's the games fault and our slider set here is crap, right?
Do me a favor - start your own thread where you can b_!tch about the game, but keep it out of here. This thread is for this slider set so we can discuss results and suggestions.Comment

TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #38 of The Season
The Red Sox scored all their offense in the 4th as Ortiz hit a 3-run HR and Saltalamacchia added a solo shot. Clay Buchholz pitched well and the bullpen got the job done despite a scary 9th inning from Papelbon as the Blue Jays had the tying and winning runs in scoring position and Jose Bautista on deck with 2 outs. Papelbon was able to make some very good pitches and strike Arencibia out to end the game and pickup his 12th save of the season.

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
TNKNGM, great sliders, this is my 1st year with the show and have been enjoying a Red Sox season myself. I know Psycho indicated he bumped up timing to 6 and that's how I've been playing. With it at 5, do you see more bloopers, dripplers, etc? Just wanted to get your feedback as if I remember right, you left it at 5.Comment

Any reason to think these wouldn't work on Vet level? I realize much depends on your individual skill level but I'm curious to know if there would be anything fundamentally wrong at the vet level. Thanks!!Comment
